I’m up to the fur on the cheeks and am having trouble as its not working for me, I have watched your tutorial over and over but I can’t seem to get it, with the double layer the mask doesn’t work for me. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.

Instead of using layer mask, you can use eraser and work on the main layer, simply erase it a little on the sides )

I don’t mean to be hateful, but I have some constructive criticism. I’ve tried several of your tutorials, and you seem to use this method of often, but as someone who wants to apply what I learn in tutorials to my own creations, this was needlessly complicated and frustrating. You don’t explain WHY you’re doing things, and some of it doesn’t make sense. Why would you use the symmetry tool instead of just drawing simple shapes? I get that it’s “easier” but it doesn’t help us actually learn anything other than how to copy what you’ve done exactly. Using the symmetry tool to copy you does not teach us how to sketch the basics of the animal, or start a piece on our own. Further, if you don’t tell what order the layers should go in, it’s rather difficult to use this method- you’ve given no explanation or theory as to how the layers should be placed or why. I’m not a beginner to procreate, but I’d hoped to learn some new tips and tricks. Here I learned nothing except how to copy what I see on screen. I do appreciate the brushes and textures though.
