I know this is about cloth but man the quality of your shadows is so beautiful! Your execution of Chiaroscuro is breathtaking! Thanks for sharing! Love your work

The tension points/ ridges red line and explanation were so good. It’s something I always knew and kinda understood but the way you communicated it visually made it click in a way it never has for me before. I was immediately able to follow the examples with my own work! Years of relying heavily on reference for my folds and struggling to draw them from imagination. I can’t over state how good this demo and analysis was

but he’s still using Adobe products😮😮😮
@paulstarrett19494 ай бұрын
@@janimfnm yeah…but that’s probably because he’s invested years in mastering them. Getting to learn how they work, all of the various features they have. It’s not an easy or intuitive program to learn, Photoshop is also one of the most comprehensive and adaptable art making programs I’ve ever used. Procreate is nice, it’s definitely more intuitive but it doesn’t have all of the same features in the same ways as Photoshop or other Adobe programs. Adobe is unfortunately an art industry standard or at least they have definitely set themselves up to appear that way. That isn’t to say it can’t change, if enough people get upset with the way they conduct their business, especially if they’re companies they’ll likely change platforms. In our current economic system we seem to prioritize profits over all else. People vote everyday with their dollars, about what they will and will not support, but if enough people choose not to use, buy, or support things they don’t like the practices of, those institutions are likely to change the ways they operate. Adobe has already back tracked on some of its new policies, certainly NOT enough in my opinion, considering how damn expensive it is and just how much they’ve disrespected their customers. (But) I’m not going to judge any artist who continues to use their programs because learning how to use them effectively is an art in itself and it’s difficult to have to start over with new systems and user interfaces. When you’ve invested so much time and energy, years of your life, mastering a skill that is dependent on a certain set of tools you’ve grown accustomed to, it’s hard to give that up. (Sorry, this is a looong comment)😅.

He should've got about 20k in 2 minutes but instead some shitty videos like "master cloth drawing in 5 minutes" get all the attention on YT
