I've finally completed Draw My Life, hope it answers many questions you guys might have :D. In a short summary, I was born in China, grew up in Vienna, studied in London and then worked as a designer for many years. In 2011 I was diagnosed with lupus which forced me to take a break from working and in that time I came up with the idea of starting a KZbin channel that doesn't focus on beauty, makeup or appearance. To make it clear, I'm not opposed to frivolous content (I obviously still like makeup and fashion) but I feel they are extremely over-represented on social media.
When I started KZbin 5 years ago, there were very few female influencers who chose to remain off camera, and who didn't use their face and body as a primary source of content. This has actually changed a lot since then when all the DIY and life hack channels started taking off, so I was really happy to see that happen.
For me, the difference between fashion/beauty content and DIY is attainability. If I make a slime or plushie DIY then I know with confidence that at least 90% of viewers can achieve the exact same results if they really wanted to, even if they live in completely different countries around the world. If I post lifestyle content of myself spending $1000 on clothes or cosmetics, then I know that less that 1% of my viewers can realistically replicate that experience. I feel that influencers have some form of moral obligation towards their viewers, instead of choosing to flaunt their blessings under the guise of "being inspirational".

Hello Joanna (I think that’s how you spell it,) and thank you. I appreciate that you’ve shared your story with everybody and have had to confidence to do so. I think, like you, that it is nice to have a woman influencer who isn’t just interested in looks and money. I like people who don’t care about looks and money and who are kind in general. You’ve showed that life isn’t just easy peasy and that you have to work for it. Wow.. 6 whole years of a headache ): I can find a similarity in that. I've had an unknown sickness for more than a year now, and i get constant dizziness. I went to different doctors and therapy. They told me that there was nothing wrong with me and could be just stress. I have a symptom of vertigo, but that's not a diagnosis. I have a busy life as well, including a job as a personal care aide/nurse! I am glad lupis (is that how you spell it?) doesn't affect your life! Or those headaches that you would have! It's hard on me at times, but been trying to endure it along with taking herbal tonics for now. I hope to find an answer one day! You're really strong-minded and i admire you and your arts/crafts!! 💕

Yes dealing with constant headaches is really tiring and hope you manage to find a way to improve yours! I definitely think that stress plays a role as well, so when your life circumstances change then headache patterns sometimes automatically go away. Since daily routines tend to shift ever 5 years or so (depending on new jobs, new homes, new relationship) there is always hope that your symptoms will improve on their own!

Raveka ENT was one of my doctors! They told me that everything was perfectly fine with my ears, nose and throat. I have done multiple tests to figure it out, but still nothing, sadly!

It was probably all the built-up stress i had in college since i was an art major myself 😅 Art can be very time consuming and stressful at times, especially given major projects! Yeah, it's particularly frustrating when you're young since objectively, 99% of people with the same symptom have something totally harmless. Doctors hate patients googling things, but in my case I researched lots of stuff online and then insisted on having certain tests done 😂.

When I was 11 I had terrible headaches so I went to the hospital and after like 6 months of tests and scans they told me it was lupus but then after a year of more tests and scans they found out that it was microscopic polyangiitis (mpa) and when I was in the hospital I would watch your videos and say I'm going to make that when I get out and I did and it helped soo much so Thank you for making these videos and staying strong through the processes 💕

Now that I have heard all of the symptoms of lupus and looked it up, it terrifies me. Everyday I have horrible headaches and sharp pains either in my head, stomach, or back. There is also rashes starting on my thighs and underarms. Any advice? I don’t know if it’s lupus and these things could mean nothing but it still scares me because the headaches are getting worse.

ItsOnlyBailey J oh my...I don’t know what to say. Those were my symptoms when I first was diagnosed. Stay strong 💪 If you do happen to get it, just know we’re all here beside you! Don’t be scared, it may be a big shock, but I know that you can make it. Talk about it to your doctor and stay positive. I wish you the best. I also have lupus and I’m happily living normally. Nothing that I have to do for it affects me but just know, you’ll be alright 💜

Hey, I know how you feel when you talked about how it felt unfair that you got sick at such a young age. Because a month ago I got Diagnosed with cancer. And it was a very rare type called a clear cell sarcoma. Right now I'm recovering from my precious surgery. were they moved my ovary up into my stomach area. Because they didn't want it to spread more because it had already spread to my lymph nodes and my lymph nodes Werw right next to my ovary. Then I start proton therapy on the 20th. My cancer is resistant to chemo so I'm not getting chemo. My tumor is 4.5 inches and it's in my hip.

Thank so you much! This video looks really speedy when you watch it but each of the drawings took hours to sketch and ink (there were about 30 altogether). A normal DIY only takes 2-3 hours to film so I could've made 5 videos in the time I spent doing this one 😂

Yes I had to make a sketch for each one because I could definitely not do everything freehand 😂! That's another reason it took so long because planning & pre-drawing each page took up a good chunk of time

It's also really easy to tell who's a tourist and who's not,the people who are taking pictures at like every place they go are usually tourists and those who just casually go around and go to non-tourist attractions are usually locals.By the way if anybody else lives in Singapore,where do you live I live in Yishun.

Thank for your lovely comment! You are still 13 so you have plenty of time to find your direction. Just have fun doing whatever you fund most interesting and use the time to build up your skills. You don't need to worry about creating anything big or original, as long as you have a hobby that you love to do then just stick to that. You'll automatically find way to build that into your studies or career later on!
