Another masterclass on perspective... horizon lines, vanishing points, etc. Great variety of close-up, medium shots, and context shots. I learn a lot from your videos, and am inspired by the choices you make and why you make them. One of the areas I find difficult concerning inking is a lack of variety. It's difficult to separate one object from another, it's difficult to vary line weights, etc. You seemed to accomplish that through more blocks of black when you were using the micron pens, and it seems more difficult now that you're using the nibs... BUT, you ARE able to do it. What are you doing consciously to separate objects from one another (aside from what happens at the coloring stage). Thanks for inspiring artists and wanna-be-artists!

I think I can highlight a few things that might help. (1) The better the drawing is, the composition, the less you have to vary line weights or do hatching lines, or even use color/values to separate objects. (2) Put more practice and attention on lighting and form than on actual inking techniques, lines and outlines. (3) Place shadows creatively, bending reality without breaking its believability. A shadow can be drawn or omitted, complete or broken, geometric or smooth, solid or hatched, etc. If it helps the clarity/composition, go for it. This goes for solid matter, too, and not just shadows.
