YES. I also love how she explains things. I know she says she's bad at teaching, but she really isn't. It's made sense to me so far, especially with pairing the process in. In the coloring video, she spoke about learning by watching others, and that's how I learn as well. So just watching her process with some explanations of what she's doing is a 👏🏼🤌🏼 fit for me. I hope she knows she's better at teaching than she thinks. I woke up feeling stuck and stupid for not working on anything in the past few weeks, but 3 videos changed my entire perspective on it all, and it probably doesn't matter in the wider scope, but with how life is going for me right now, finding her channel has brought a whole load of information for me to work with now; to save my mental health, literally. Yeah, it's actually that bad. 😖 But between her style(s) and how she teaches is equally epic. ❤

I know EXACTLY what you mean with the drawing benches lmaoooo they were so uncomfortable! I used to use my backpack as a cushion for my lower back when I sat on them. And to answer the question, I draw digitally now. I just recently switched to an xp pen display tablet after using a Wacom intuos for five years. I really like it bc my computer's original monitors colors are so dull and washed out. The vibrant display is much more true to what the colors actually are supposed to look like. 😆

I love using procreate the most on the iPad, though I do also have Clip studio, infinite painter, artrage randomly for fun. Here is a fix to your random dots everywhere issue 🙂❤ ⭐ On Procreate > click on the Wrench icon > prefs > Gesture Controls > General > turn on 'Disable Touch Actions' ... this will allow you to still do ur gestures like zooming in out undoing redoing, just doesnt allow your finger to draw on the screen. ⭐ i had to do this because i also didnt want to worry about accidentally making random marks and not knowing where they came from.

I love your style so much ahhhh!! You've been so inspiring to me and I'm so grateful for what I've learned from watching you. This may be mean, but I'm almost like relieved that you struggle with drawing for yourself and enjoying doing commissions. Like I'm so sorry you feel that way, I hope you can figure things out soon, but it's also like oh okay this professional, super-talented artist still struggles with these things, that makes me feel a little better. Anyway, sending tons of love your way!! Thanks for the video~ 🧡💕 edit: I loved the part in the middle with the cooking!! It was very asmr lol very satisfying and nice. I actually struggle so much with trying to make my art look perfect too. I want to do more of a sketchy style, and I am sort of starting to get my art to look that way, but just like you, I think if it's a pixel off that it's not perfect and not good enough. Sometimes a simple piece will take me like 8-10 hours just because I was cleaning up my line art for like 5 hours lol. Maybe the secret is to stop thinking that the art needs to be perfect, because that's impossible anyway, and to embrace imperfections as part of the style. edit 2: I use an older ipad pro and Procreate to do my art these days. I've had the ipad for years, and bought it for the sole purpose of drawing, but really didn't like my art for a long time, and only just within the past year actually started making pieces I liked and tried to draw as often as possible. I have tons of traditional supplies, but I have some health problems and my hands shake, so I kind of had to give up on painting and sketching by hand. It was too difficult and frustrating. I have clip studio paint on my pc but I'm still saving up for a drawing monitor lol. PS: You can turn off the gesture controls with Procreate. I had to turn off almost all of them because of the shaky hands lol.

I'm sorry to hear you can't do traditional art very well! Don't give up though, unless you prefer digital art anyway. I've seen some amazing art work done by people who have shakey hands, colour blindness, or other conditions, so don't let it stop you if you wanna try! But if you don't want to do traditional art anyway I'd suggest donating some of your supplies it to an art class in your local community, that way someone else can enjoy it! You could always sell your more expensive items too if you wanted to get some money back! Just a suggestion though, no pressure ofc!! Good luck to you on your art journey! ❤💖💗 PS: apologies in advance for poor english :3

@@sleepy-kae aww! It's really no problem, I'm glad my words helped you! Seriously, if you wanna paint, go for it! Don't ever let something like that stop you from creating things that you love. Painting doesn't have to be perfect, so if you can't control every stroke you make then incorporate that into your art. If your hands shake and you can't get a straight line, then draw a curley line! You should look up scribble art and different kinds of abstract art, maybe you can find some inspiration there! I can't stress enough how important it is to not give up hope. I know nothing about your health problem or how it works, so I can't say too much on that, but trust me it shouldn't have the power to make you stop drawing. It kind of sounds like you're letting it control your art, and I can understand why. It may seem helpless, like you can't draw "like everyone else does." But you don't have to! Your art is your art and it doesn't have to be perfect , it just has to be YOURS. And if your art is kinda squiggly and weird, that's just fine! You have to learn to embrace it, an see the beauty in it. I really hope you start painting again. Maybe come back and tell me how it went? Would love to hear more from you!! ❤💖💗

I completely understand of wanting to try different styles! Right now I draw more realism (semi-realism) and make sure everything is anatomically correct because I'm still learning the fundamentals but I really want to do a more simple style, I just don't know where to begin. >< I think for you if you wanna try adding to your own style you could do DTIYS challenges, draw an OC in 6 different art styles (art meme grid), etc and that may help you experiment! Love your vids btw! ^^

To answer your question, I draw on my face. 🤣 I'm a professional make up artist who used to hand draw on paper a lot when I was younger, and I now just want to see if I can bring back my love to just doodle and color, and how far I can go. I use a Microsoft Surface Pro (forgot which number, but it's not too old, I don't think.), as while I do have a laptop, it's old and a BEAST to be considered a "laptop", and CSP would be too much. I write and do other things, and wanted a lighter laptop that doesn't require its own cooling stand and weighs more than my cat. 😂 I wanted a tablet much like what you're using, but settled for the Surface Pro so I could keep up with my other stuff as well. The touch screen isn't all that bad, and HUION had a sweet drawing glove that made the gloved part of the hand have a skeleton design, so I feel like a Bond villain when I put it on. (Idk why, but 🤷🏽♀️) I'm still a novice in every sense for digital art, and most of it comes from learning to draw bodies. And hair. Hair really can make my blood pressure rise to new and terrifying levels. 😂 However, thank God for the "hair" brushes on CSP until I can fix that issue, because of what I've done and learned in the past from my mom being a master seamstress and a love of photography, on top of colors, how, where and what to use, that's all easy for me. I can color and shade the day away, but what was really hindering me with this program is a lack of understanding on how to use it. Yes, I'm familiar with the tips section of the program, and do recommend it, but finding someone on KZbin who can show you in real time, and speak in a way that makes sense (someone that "speaks your language", if you will) is far more accessible. I know you can use your phone and CSP, and while I have a good phone for it, it's been a smooth brained issue for me to figure out and git 'er dun. 😵💫 Eventually I'd like to work with a more professional tablet like what you're using, but for my noob status and other hobbies, I'm chill with my Pro and skele-glove for now (but yes, a touchscreen can be annoying asf sometimes.). Thank you so much for your videos, just watching 3 has changed SO much for me. I'll be around more, for sure! 😁🥰

Hiya! I am both a digital and traditional artist ^^ Traditionally, I am best at graphite drawings and pen drawings, and for digital, I use clip studio paint pro! Tbh, I loved what you had to say in this video, because I really relate to you. I often get burn out if I'm drawing things for other people. It gets especially frustrating when I'm inspired to draw something for myself, but just don't have the motivation or energy to go through with it. And I flat coloring does make me especially frustrated because I feel like every pixel has to be perfect- but no one can even see the little mistakes once I zoom out to see the entire picture. I do tend to make things more complicated for myself than it has to be when I draw digitally, though I am becoming better about it! I just try to make shading and lineart as loose and fun as I can. Anyways, thanks for posting these! It really helps when I need to get into a drawing mood without my repetitive music playlist :)

you could turn off the touch setting on procreate where it doesn't register any touches except brush settings etc or just redo/undo. I was sad to hear that's the only reason you stopped using procreate cuz I use it most of the time alongside sketch book.

This is so cute! I'm looking at buying the tablet you have and I was wondering if you have to plug it into anything (like a PC) for it to work?
@ayeoops2 жыл бұрын
u must plug it in yes! hdmi, and if your pc does not have enough power (like a laptop) you'll have to plug it into the wall too
@alexdoesart432 жыл бұрын
@@ayeoops can you just plug it into the wall or must it also be plugging into a laptop or device of some kind?
@ayeoops2 жыл бұрын
@@alexdoesart43 it must be plugged in to some sort of pc. think of it like a tv or monitor that u can draw on~
