Thank you for your video! I found the MS Office part confusing. I am in the process of submitting a paper to one of Elsevier journals, and they specifically said that if the graph was created in MS Office, it should be submitted "as is", whereas TIFF or JPEG formats must be used if the graphs were created in a software other than MS Office. Not sure about other fields but Excel is the most important software I use in Engineering to create graphs and figures, but I wish there is a way to edit graphs on excel in a way suitable for publications.

Hi Mohamad. My pleasure :D Yes you can edit figures in excel. Can you link me to a few examples of the style of excel graphics you need? Actually I am preparing for this course for a few universities, so your references will be very helpful.

@@DrawBioMed Hi! Thank you for your prompt response! it's mostly how to edit line graphs to be suitable for publications, especially if we have more than one graph for one figure such as (fig 1a, fig 1b...). I guess the confusing parts are the following : 1- when submitting the excel file, should it have the figure as it is or should it be pasted as a picture. because the figure cannot be submitted without the dataset if it's not a picture right? So should I put the dataset but hide it, or is it something that is edited at the publishing stage? 2- Figures with more than one graph that have a repetitive axis (such as duration of experiment) or legend (same lines are shown in figure a and b) can usually show the repetitive items in one of the graphs only, but doing that in excel would lead the figure sizes or plot area to be different. Do you know if there is an easy way to incorporate more than one graphs into one figure on excel? 3- I tried printing (or saving as) the figures from excel to PDF and they showed very high resolution as you suggested in the video. But the PDF file looks weird and the graph is not an item that they can just copy and paste. Any ideas if this is something normal and journals have their own ways of dealing with such files? Thanks again for your help! :D

@@mohamadadghim4453 It is better to link me to examples. Text is hard to convey visual information. I can't get exactly what those graphics look like by reading text 😅
