Building a Leather Poppy Brooch for Remembrance Day/Veteran's Day. DIY leather flower pin including tips on cutting, dying, finishing your own custom leather flowers. Step by step tutorial on how to cut patterns, use hot water to shape the leather petals and then use a water based leather stain to colour them red. I have made these broaches for myself out of thin vegetable tanned leather but any semi rigid material could be used. This could be made with craft foam, fabric, cardboard or vinyl.
