When you install the rails in the cabinets, you use a spacer. When you mount the other part of the rail on the drawer, you use a jig with another spacer. How do you ensure they are lined up? Let's say the small spacer (drawer) is 2cm high. Do you (in the cabinet) then simply start 2.5cm from the bottom and use your regular block for the steps? Hard to explain, but I'd be scared not to have it line up :) Beautiful video by the way, I'm going to attempt building this for under my new workbench
@Kynosys_ Жыл бұрын
It's not easy to explain. The height of the interior space is h, Let the number of drawers to be created be n and the distance between drawers be t. First, subtract t from h. The reason t is subtracted once is that there is one more interval than n. And when h is divided by n, the number is the sum of the height of the drawer and the distance between the drawers. In other words, the number obtained by subtracting t from that number becomes the height of one drawer. Now, the number obtained by subtracting the width of the rail from the height of the drawer and adding the distance t becomes the height of the jig to be used. If you put the chest of drawers upside down and attach the rails using this jig, The spacing between them is exactly right. The rail attached to the drawer can be known by looking at the structure of the drawer rail, and you can make a jig at that height. If you think about it carefully, you will understand. thank you

You have the same thoughts as me. I wondered why everyone made it out of steel. There will be an advantage that it can be made from a much thinner material than wood. However, wood is much easier to handle and is stronger than expected. I even thought it would be nice to use about 9T birch plywood. thank you

In fact, I was thinking of installing a metal handle, but replaced it with a wooden one. It took a lot of time and was difficult. I thought it would be more suitable, but your opinion is different. I want you to look at it from the perspective of diversity. thank you!

I guess you are a tool collector ! Do you really use all of them ?
@Kynosys_11 ай бұрын
You are sharp. Tool collector. I'm a Korean. It's not easy for you to watch my other videos, but I run a tool review channel in Korean. So, there are a lot of tools. I am also an inventor. I have about 20 patents. Someday, I would like to make a video introducing my patented products. Inventions are made purely through my creativity, but in fact, I need materials for my creation. There is nothing like tools as a material for invention. When I look at the development of various tools, I can feel the many concerns of engineers. Of course, my creativity is encouraged. Also, my goal is to use all the tools I have. In that situation, I created drawers that would allow me to conveniently display my collection. I don't mean to brag or be conceited, but I hope this will be of some help to those who want to organize their tools. This is something I've wanted to talk about someday, and thanks to you, I'm doing it. I hope many people read it. thank you!

In the workshop, I think the more measuring tools, the better. I don't understand people who spend their time looking for very cheap measuring tools while using very expensive machines. With a little thought, you can see that the best way to save time is to have the hand tools you need all over the place. Even so, I prepare several basic tools. I don't consider it a waste. I think it's an investment that can save my precious time. thank you!

I think the main problem was too many tools! Do you REALLY need so many long nosed pliers? Verniers? Squares etc?
@Kynosys_ Жыл бұрын
Does it look like my tools overlap a lot? I offer a few points of view. The more measuring tools, the better. The time saved well exceeds the cost. Of course, I use almost all of them. If you look at the workshop when I'm concentrating on my work, you'll understand, but surprisingly, I still lack tools. It is very difficult to clean and work. After a project is over, it is a picture of the messy tools gathered together. Some of them are tools I use when I do review and unboxing videos. Introduce new products or shoot shorts videos. My goal is to try a lot, if not all tools in the world. Of course, as much as circumstances allow. Your interest helps with that. thank you!

@@gbwildlifeuk8269 Actually, there are more. The most expensive of my machines is around $50,000. I don't understand people who wander around looking for a few dollar measuring tools in front of such expensive equipment. That's a waste of your time. I am speaking from that point of view.

Thank you for your good comments. This seems to be a particularly desirable method if you work outside. I don't work outside. Because I only work in my workshop, It's so comfortable to stay organized. And one thing, I do tool reviews in Korea. And since I am an inventor, there are more machines and parts than you can imagine. There are over 2,000 parts drawers. so, If I don't clean it up even for a moment, it becomes a huge mess. This work is especially necessary for people like me. Thank you again.
