i know nothing about monster hunter but that has never stopped me from enjoying drawfee eps. especially when they open with jacob's intro being steamrolled. SUGGESTION: for pride month (tho it might be too late for 2023), we should return to 'drawing historical figures as anime characters' and draw some historical queer figures like Dr. James Barry, a trans man who was a a successful military surgeon in the 1800s notable in particular for being the first European doctor to perform a fully successful c-section in Africa (specifically Cape Town, South Africa). The first successful C-section in America was in 1794 by Jesse Bennett when Barry was only 5. Jakob Nufer in Switzerland performed a successful C-section in 1580. Wenceslaus I of Prague was delivered by the oldest recorded successful C-section in 1337. Barry is just the first European man to perform a successful C-section while in Africa. Barry's life is pretty cool in general, but saying he's the first person to perform a C-section is wrong, and even the technically correct "first European to perform a C-section in Africa" is deliberately ignoring the medical skill shown by the people living in the Great Lakes region of Africa.

I like how, when given the fact that not all MonHun monsters look like dragons, Karina manages to avoid any of the mythical beast tropes Monster Hunter actually uses, like a manticore, which is what teostra/lunastra are based on, and instead jumps all the way to a wendigo, which is the base design for a monster in the Witcher, which coincidentally did show up as a crossover monster in Monster Hunter World.

Idea based off of the brought up sculpting luigi episode- Try a physical craft! Each artist picks a craft/art/form of expression that they haven't done before/have little past experience in (pottery, sculpting, physical painting, doll/figurine repainting, sewing, cake/dessert decoration,wire art, resin, knitting, etc.) And tries it out for one small scale project and shows off what they made and the process of how they learned and how it went. Might be fun to see how drawing skill translates into other art skills.

And to clarify, this doesn't require going all out and buying super complex expensive parts or materials, dollar store/value pack materials are always a great way to start our. Ex. Dollightful here on KZbin did a "budget custom doll" using a value pack of acrylic paints, a thrift store doll, scrap cloth and thread from an old shirt, and straight up made brushes using a stick and some feather taped to it that she found on a walk, and the needle was a shaved toothpick she taped the thread to.
