Thanks! Yes, I like to mix all my pencil brands together :) The Carbothello pencils are softer and Faber-Castell pencils are a little harder so they work very well together

You also blend with stumps as you go along

I do occasionally, though on Pastelmat they tend to lift more pastel off rather than blend it :)

Very nice work, I just orderad a set of faber castell pitt pencils, , how do the derwent pencils compliment them? Any reaswon to use derwent in combination with PItt pencils? thanks

I use a variety of most of the brands of pencils. Carbothello are my main pencils, they're nice and soft but still sharpen well. The Pitts are a little harder and show up better over the soft pencils, they sharpen to a really fine point. The Derwents are a little scratchy in my opinion, but they have some nice colors that other brands don't have and they sharpen well too.
