Oh goodness... here I am watching your video again! I finally have the pattern right and I've used two pencils tied together to get an even band around the main knot. Challenging, I love it!

That's so fun! I've sometimes tried using a compass or similar tool to make the even lines on leather, but ultimately it takes more time than just drawing each one (for me, since I'm more practiced at the latter). Hope it works well!

Abstract problem solving. If you don’t know where you are going you could end up some where else.....this is a pretty design....I have no idea how I got here. Never made the same mistake twice but may have made every mistake once.... and that’s how it’s done. Did you all get that? 😳...............ah........no. Talent and intuition taken totally for granted. Yeah. Nice design. I hope you aren’t a professional teacher.

Haha, why hello Acer the Sarcastic! If you're really interested in celtic knotwork, I would start off by copying existing knotwork of different styles for at least a week, if not a month--I copied existing drawings for years before I started to invent my own. So you're right, there's a lot of intuition taken for granted, built on practice, not talent. I'm not a teacher, but I hope to be one day, but I don't believe that real lessons can work on a one-way medium like KZbin.
