It always amazes me -- and serves as a good reminder -- that going SLOW is the best way to go fast. You really take your time to get the structure right and you draw lightly, constantly pausing to look at your lines. I tend to go too fast and by so doing, I quickly lose the foundation. Thanks for sharing.

I recently came to this conclusion. go slow - get it down. and repeat as often as needed.

This video and many of your others have helped me improve my drawing is so many ways. I'm very thankful you've made this channel and I stumbled upon it. I've found my character drawing becoming more consistent and my process is becoming quicker by just understanding the foundation and fundamentals you teach in each of your videos. Thanks so much for sharing these ideas and techniques alongside showing us how you put them into your process. Looking forward to whats next.

The perfect ammount of energy at the beginning, calm enough at the lesson bit and a nice save in the editing at the end. 😂 Well done, sir! I’d like to see something similar for expressions and maybe for animals, too. (Constructive drawing for animals, that is.)

Hi, Tim, just dropping a like and a comment for the Algo and I'd like to make a request: If possible can you make a video on leg construction in the near future? I greatly benefitted from the arm construction video you did earlier. Thanks for all you do and can't wait to watch this vid!

Does the minor axis of the ellipse for the brow define the center line? Would the minor axis of the ellipse that splits the cranium in half vertically define the vanishing point for width of the face?
@TheDrawingCodex Жыл бұрын
Yes (if I am imagining what you mean correctly) the minor axis of the ellipse that runs around the head (think of the brim of a hat) will be parallel to the centre line of the face in three dimensions!

Lovely illustrations and great content. Ara looks gorgeous - is it available for sale? One minor observation - at least for me, it can be hard to process a lot of talking at the same time I'm visualizing what you are doing on the paper, and it's even worse if I'm drawing along with you. I can literally feel my brain struggling over which to pay the most attention to. I notice in the videos of yours I've seen so far, you lecture (in a good way!) pretty much nonstop through the whole video. You won't lose us if you give us a bit of room to absorb what you're doing on paper :^) Great channel though. I'm a new fan.

Hello, Is your line and colour course for beginners?
@TheDrawingCodex Жыл бұрын
I think it's beginner friendly. But a few people have commented that it felt above their skill level. I have some updates that will hopefully help make it really accessible for absolute beginners. But right now it's probably more advanced than some would like. It focuses more on technique for creating line and color work... as well as how to get into a habit of drawing, but I don't focus a lot on the how to draw side of things (there is a lot more on the channel here that goes over drawing fundamentals). So I think some people find it hard to follow along with the photoshop/digital side of it due to their drawing ability still being undeveloped. Let me know if that helps clarify!
