When Jack gets one of the most recognizable flags in the world wrong, Brazil, and puts 24 stripes instead of 13 for the US flag: *The Earth King has invited you to Lake Laogai* such a shame you didn't get to draw our flag. Also, that's not purple on the Sri Lanka flag but rather crimson. A deep tone of red. People also say the Qatar flag has purple but that is maroon, another tone of red. The only two national flags with purple are Nicaragua and Dominica.

i've read that the reason why symbols face to the left (i.e. the direction to the flagpole) is that it represents that it (the country) is ready to face everything. facing the symbols the other way around (away from the flagpole) means cowardice, running away. that's why the sri lanka lion and the uganda "chicken" face to the left, so does the sword in saudi arabia flag, but you did not get the chance to do it, though. edit: the only exception i can think of right now is bhutan's dragon, but it's a good enough rule of thumb
