Why is it fading when you’re using the drawing tools? It’s the brush you’re using. You can adjust the brush’s settings like the thickness of the start and end of lines you make and the opacity of the start and ends. To do this, you click on the brush icon and click on the brush you want to use for example: Dip Pen (Hard) and adjust the opacity and thickness by using the bars that you can slide left or right to modify the brush. If you would like to put it back to how it was, you can press the reset button. Hope this helps!

@roseanna walker she made it all black on another layer. after that she lowered the opacity of the layer then put an airbrush eraser on it so it was only on the top. she then put the highlights in with the brush on another layer and lowered the opacity of that layer aswell.

Ibispaint is literally my life, seeing this video made my day! Also, lil tips? -the quick eyedropper can be turned off in the settings option by the side of the canvas -you can stop the fade out by going to the brush you're Using's brush properties. Making the brush not have tapered ends and using the bezier tool will ensure it not fade out Hope this helps, rebecca! These comics are super cute!

Ibispaint X person (aka me): FINALLY- AFTER A MILLION YEARS OF WAITING- she finally made video about ibispaint X- TwT. and also, you can maybe get rid of the lines by turning on force fade and turn it all the way to 0.

If you just change force fade, it doesn't always work, you need to change the brush settings so the brush has 100% start and end thickness and then turn the force fade to 0. Or if you don't want to mess with brush settings you can just use Felt tip pens, since they already have 100% start and end thickness

if you want to use the “curving tool” (idk what it specifically called:’>) without fading you can use a “felt tip pen” because “dip pen” have very sharp edges/ends while the “felt tip pen” has a thick edges in other words it has a similar size to the middle of the line or like this line > ___________ (:’> idk what to explain, English isn’t my first language but I hope this helps)

As an artist, I can say that Ibis Paint X is MUCH more beginner friendly. When I got my iPad a few years ago, I couldn’t learn procreate that well (I was barely starting to learn digital drawing.) so I found Ibis Paint and I can say that I love the app so much. I still use it for my Webcomic and things. I am a lot better at procreate now, but it’s not efficient for Webcomic artists since it doesn’t have functions like TEXT or Frames. Great video, Bekah! Keep doing what you love! Don’t know if you’ll read this, but I want you to know that you were the one who inspired me to start drawing my webcomic! Don’t ever stop! 😊 ✨

Stop using bucket or lasso to color; make another layer and move it under the line art layer, and color it on that layer; it really improves your coloring and makes it less pixalated. Hope this helps 😁

Addulli no. You can do this: 1. Add a layer 2. Put it at under the layer you used for lineart 3. Bucket it Therefore, the color won't overlap the lineart

How to make the ends not fade-out: Press the finger icon on the top then press the button that says 'Force fade' if the button is blue it means its on if its white its off, so just check if its blue it will fade-out your lines just make sure its white if you dont want it faded out ^w^ hope it helps! I think the reason why it fades is because of the brush. If you are using dip pen, you should probably see some options on the brushes that say things like opacity, size, and fade size-thing

Im very late but there is a selection tool in the tool bar, it's the magic wand you select it and you press where you want. To get rid of it you go to the selection box icon and press remove selection area. There is so many other things you can use the selection thing for! Sorry if you found this out but if you didn't know I hope this helps!

Challenge: draw with your finger instead of your apple pencil Sorry I'm just curious to see how it turn out Oh and a small tip: turn off the force fade when using the drawing tool for shapes (eg. Circle) so u won't have that weird fade line thing at the edges (or corner) of it, this makes it easier and u don't have to patch it up

You can turn in force fade out and turn both off them to 0%. This will make it do that it won't fade out. Also try turning on the stabilizer to after mode. I personally think it works stronger in that manner.

My Favorite Tips -You have a selection layer. From there, you can use brushes and drawing tools normally to help you get a better shaped selection -If you want the lines and shapes to be complete and NOT fade out, use a brush that has start thickness 100% and end thickness 100%. For the drawing tools it actually matters what brush you use, witch I think is kind of cool. -Layer folders are the holy grail -You can customize your brushes in the brush settings. I use a custom brush for my lineart. -Make use of all of your available tools!

How to fix the fading problem! :D In the brushes tab, Next to each brush is a little arrow. Press that and it brings you to that specific brush's settings. There are multiple categories and settings you can change. Click on the category 'fade' and there should be a few settings there, like thickness of start and thickness of end, which is what you'll want to work on. Drag the bars to 100% (right in the middle) and that should make your line all the same size.) There are tons of other settings you can play with, but this one should cover your problem. Hope I helped! :)

Bizzare curved for that to stop fading is to use a diffierent brush like felt tip pen and make sure the line is a bit ticker so it wont fade

Tips: There are settings for every single brush, and you can turn off the fade-out for a brush, or use a different brush, like the felt tip pen, that doesn’t fade out at the ends. You can save brushes as custom brushes if you want. Alpha-lock locks the layers like a masking thing. It’s like a clipping layer but not on the same layer. In the setting you can turn off the eyedropper tool shortcut. The different filters can give you gradients and stuff. The blur tool is best for blending. Hmmm what else... Idk, but in their website you can look at a tutorial that gives you more in-depth but easy to understand tips and tricks and stuff! I found it pretty useful!

This is how you can make the end more stiff instead of fade go into your pen settings (where you can change pen) and click on it twice if the force fade is already open don’t click at all but I think you can change it by using the settings in the pen!

I was actually editing on IbisPaint X while watching XD. For the curve tool at about 5:30 in the video, depending on your brush the ends may fade out, the dip pen which I think you were using fades out at the ends so that effect translated to the curve tool. Different pens work differently and I usually use the dip pen but I don’t use the curve tool much, I use the rulers. IbisPaint X is usually pronounced as I-b-i-s-Paint-X by many people who use it, hope these things help! I also am making a comic on Instagram with IbisPaint X but I am not here to promote my own work (it’s still in work so I haven’t posted it yet OwO)

To make the line not fade out you must: Go to your brush, Click he smol arrow on the right [>] And there, the first two settings are how you can change the fade out Make sure to look at the line above the setting, it changes for you to see how the line will look like ;)

For the shape tools and line tools to make it not fade out on the ends you have to go to the force fade ( where the stabilizer is )and you have to turn it on and then move it from 40 to 0 on both the start and the end. ( you'll know what I mean if you see the setting)

If you want the line not fade, go to the brush settings, go to the brush your using and make the end thicker, hope it helps

YES! SHE TRIED IBIS PAINT X! It’s the app I use. Edit: I didn’t think you’d have to draw Faith holding a knife like that either. 😂 Oh! And there isn’t a square selection tool sadly. But you can go to the selection layer and use the square brush if you need it. I haven’t used that method as much, though. But you can use the “magic wand” tool too. You just have to make sure that you select all the areas.

5:27 if you want the ends to not fade out, just go to dip pen hard, go to customs, and change the thickness of the start and the end to 100%. I hope that solves the problem for new users of IbisPaint.

How to make it not fade out: My tips are to just use the felt tip pen (soft) bc it always works. It’s not only that brush that works, but there are other brushes that are “non-fadey”

To stop it from fading click on the brush icon as if you were changing the brush type and change the brush end opacity on both start and end to the same size as the brush. I hope this helped.

Ok so the fading out on the lines it's because of the brush you have So basicly if you have a flower brush it will make the lines flowers so with the dip pen hard / soft it has a fade at the end

To not make it like fade when you use the “round tool” you can use the “Felt Tip Pen (Hard)” or “Felt Tip Pen (Soft)” but “Felt Tip Pen (Hard)” is what i use most of the time.

I used your eye tut for begginers ondigital art and its so pretty i use ibispaint tho so i tried to do what i could between the differences of clip studio paint and ibispaint so tysm for the tut btw this looks awesome!!
