finally saw an artist with cool works who uses s6 lite!! i'm planning to buy it mainly for note taking and drawing. may i know your thoughts about the tab? love your works, btw!

Thank you^^ imo, the tab is pretty great for note taking, drawing, and media consumption. Samsung notes app is extremely optimized it just feels so good to take notes on. As for drawing, great softwares aren't plenty, there's ibis paint x, infinite painter, medibang, csp (those are apps that i can think of rn). some of them aren't that optimized, though that's generally an android problem TT. Out of all, ibis paint x feels the smoothest to draw in. On infinite painter, the tab is fairly smooth but lags after it reached certain amount of layers or if the file is too big. There's a 2022 version of the s6 lite that uses a better chipset though, technically it should perform better. But it's also a bit pricier than the 2020 version. Hope this helps^^

thank you!! i've been using it for more than a year now. I don't use the original rubber nib, so I stored it away. I use my old samsung note 4 extra plastic nib with a matte screen protector.

aww thank youu!! i think the most important thing is to really solidify the fundamentals (shapes, values, gestures, lines, etc). i still have a lot to learn too. i usually do dedicated studies some days, then i try to make a drawing to implement what i've learned from those studies. i hope this helps(?), i'm not very good with words TT

i'm not sure how to describe it to you, but this case has a front cover that folds into a little triangle that you can use to prop the tablet up.

If you're using infinite painter like this creator you can turn on palm rejection.i believe you can do that in many apps if you just toggle around with the settings.

i think for this one i used the soft pen for sketching and rendering (tweaked the mix in settings for rendering to blend better), and a custom brush for the line art (you can find it on my community tab)^^

I think it depends on what you value more. Performance? Go for the ipad. Value for money? Undoubtedly the s6 lite since you have to pay extra for the pencil. Although imo the S6 lite is more than enough for drawing, note taking, and media consumption. If gaming is a priority, the ipad will perform better. Hope this helps^^

I have encountered some bugs in the past like the app stops working after some time and one time a ui element didn't go away. But these days i haven't encountered any of the sort^^
