Girl all I had was that one brown tone in the crayon box lol. But I'm really glad I found a black artist that teaches how to warm to darker tones. Left one vid and came straight to yours after I seen that you said you were an artist as well. 😊❤

Your videos inspired me to pull out my Prismacolor and add pan pastels to my Amazon wish list, lol. I had given up on trying to draw skin and went back to graphite. Now I feel like I can create a masterpiece 😌👏🏽

Finally got a set of Pan Pastels and though I have a good number of colors, I mixed the exact colors you did, and followed your tutorial. I was absolutely amazed how shading with violet and blue (for deep dark skin) and green (for the fair skin) came out so rich and realistic! Thank you so much Temi, I'm so excited! Peace and Blessings from Texas USA 🌹❤🌹

I came here to learn more about drawing darker skins but not only got out with that, also learned something new about my own skin tone! I've seen other ppl using purple on darker skins (even tho using such a deep color like purple makes me really scared) but I never even imagined using green on light skin, but now that I think about it ur absolutely right!!!! i will now try drawing different types of skins tones using purple, green and blue!

loved this! how do i add highlitghts to darker skin tone when the skin has bright white highlights on it? the photo reference I'm using is of a male model with like greased abs and muscle that shine pure white all over parts of his body, so I'm not sure how to go white white without making him look ashy. thank you!

Can you do a video on skin tones with more affordable supplies for skin tones? You have one of the best skin (especially dark skin) tutorials on YT. I have been drawing and painting for years, but skin colors have always been an issue for me. I figured colored pencils will help me get comfortable with color blending. I have Rembrandt pastels (basic ten) and prismacolor colored pencils in the 72 tin and I am a little lost.
@arbhall75724 жыл бұрын
Lol i thought the pan pastels were makeup! I was like oh how clever. They are all skin tones already. But nope. Super high end art supply. Im subscribing to a scrawlr box service because they put caran dache pencils in them once a year! Copics as well. Really cool service, sorry for the side track. You are brilliant. Great video.
@TemiDansoArt4 жыл бұрын
Aha tbf they do look a lot like makeup! That would be an interesting video, drawing with makeup.. Hmm
@arbhall75724 жыл бұрын
@@TemiDansoArt ...why not right? Tons of pigment, some layers, some dosnt, bet you need a really really smooth paper to make it work right(glossy photo paper?), probably have to treat it with something too, like oil so it sticks nice and blends.
@yasminkiela75283 жыл бұрын
hey i think your video is really great but i just don't understand what i exactly. have to do after the pastels it goes a bit too fast and don't know how to blend skin color. ps really love you art 💕

Hi, Temi! I don't know if you understand what I'll try to say, but I'll try my best to explain good.(English it's not my first language). I got some colored pencils that are aquarels too. They are for professionals, but they don't blend i literally spend so much time in blending, but they DON'T blend very well. I want to get a smooth blending, but it's always a mess.The paper i use is for watercolor. Maybe that's the problem? Do you have any tips for a smooth blending? Please, i need your help!🙏🏻 And also can you make a video with ,,What to use for colored pencils portraits? Like paper ,kinda good quality pencils, that are not sooo expensive and things like that? It will help me so much. Have a great day!
