I see you based it off the Hot Toys Predator figure. And you even included the gaps between the various pieces they used to manufacture the model. Particularly around the mandibles. I would think you will want to leave those out for a hyper realistic drawing. No? Great great work regardless. Looking forward to your future work.

He's just copying (as far as I can tell) so learn sighting techniques and you can. It's not as hard as you think, but it can be a slow process. Now I'm not saying you'll learn it over night, but with about a years worth of hard work you can do it too. Who knows maybe even less time.

I'm assuming he's looking at something and copying, if that's the case sighting techniques is all you need. Basically you just have to learn how to copy what you see, it's not very hard. Virtually anyone can master that skill in a year. Now if he's doing it out of his head, that would take a deeper knowledge of form, shadow, and color on top of drawing out of your head because you would still need to be able to hold the idea of the objects forms in your head to do it. That would take a couple years to master.
