I would love to see Ichigo and friends on a pirate crew. I once saw a bit of fan art that was essentially Ichigo’s Jolly Roger. It was his hollow mask as the skull and the dual Zangetsus as the crossbones. I made the joke at the time that they would be called the Strawberry pirates, much to Ichigo’s chagrin because Kisuke would’ve called them that as a joke but the everyone would agreed to piss Ichigo off.

My ideas for some zanpakto. Nico: Command bloom. Shikai: Demonic Flower Blade develops a flower like upward curving tsuba and a thick rapier like blade. Where every Nico strikes, hands can spawn from the surface, draining the reishi from the surface and grabbing at targets. Bankai: demonic flesh garden The blade develops eyes along the surface and the flower expands out, the petals displaying different body parts. The blade can release waves of blood that corrupt the reishi they touch and sprout body parts that can reach out towards targets to drag them into the garden. Nami: Command: blow Shikai: gentle cloud rod Her shikai becomes a staff that can draw out and mold reishi into clouds that can be used to control the weather, mostly used to strike with lightning. Bankai: raging tempest pillar The staff expands into a 3 section staff that can fully manipulate water, wind, and electricity. With short prep time, the staff can call disastrous storms and direct their full force into a target. Chopper: Command: mush Shikai: Reindeer Parade. Choppers blade disappears into a series of manifestations that can operate as independent extensions of his will representing his points. Bankai: unholy winter beast. Chopper summons a massive creature of incredible power that he controls by his own will, though the strain of control often leaves him immobile. Brook: Command: sing. Shikai: danse macabre? Sword takes the form of his classic cane sword and his face becomes gaunt. He draws the energy from the world around him requiring this ability to be restricted in use. This effect absorbs all energy causing the area to slowly grow colder and darker as his sword also absorbs the targets soul. Direct contact increases the rate and victims do not reincarnate. Bankai: 100 demon party or night parade of 100 demons. Cane sword condenses almost to a ray, shrouds the area in darkness and cold. Brook appears to become skeletal with shadowy reishi leaking off of him. In this form Brook can summon the souls of any previous victims to fight for him. Yamato Unsure. Vivi: Command: quack quack attack! Shikai: daring duck hero Her blade lengthens into a slender whip and summons a powerful duck mount called karoo. While on karoo her speed is incredible and the range of her who makes her a dangerous opponent. Bankai: the great duck brigade, death by a thousand quacks. Her whip extends up her arm and down the other arm in the form of golden jewelry greatly increasing her personal attack power. Karoo grows larger and more powerful as well as being accompanied by a seemingly inexhaustible army of little duckling, including the boisterous duck bombers who can fly into targets and explode. Usopp: Command: take aim! Shikai: eagle eye sling. , his sword extends into a staff with a slingshot at the top, he's able to reconfigure his reishi to give his shots different properties. Bankai: great sniper sogeking. His slingshot becomes a pair of gauntlets with rapid fire slingshots and he gains an incredible mask that allows him to see seemingly everything. But many believe this bankai to be a different person. Sanji: Command: ??? Shikai: iron Chef His sword takes on the form of leg guards that allow him to move so fast that they heat up to incredible degrees, giving his already devastating kicks even more sting. Bankai: iron hero noir. The leg guards become an entire suit of armor that both makes sanji invulnerable to many opponents, but also allows him to become invisible, making his sudden and powerful attacks that much more devastating. Carrot I got nothing, Sulong bankai? Zoro: Command: none Shikai king of the third hell. His blade splits into three unique blades that all have unique properties such as one having more cutting power, one cutting through reishi and weakening a target, and one that emits powerful Shockwaves. Bankai: demonic emperor of the nine hells. Zoro morphs into a 6 armed, 3 headed horned asura with greatly increased destructive potential, considered the most dangerous release in the gotei 13. Franky Command: SOOOOOPPAAAA Shikai: Radical Robo Franky The shikai becomes Franky himself, whose body contains a wide variety of manufactured abilities powered by his zanpakto. Bankai: invincible iron genius Franky Franky becomes a giant fighting robot with an even greater suite of powerful abilities. Jinbe: Command: Rise Shikai: ??? Bankai: son of the sea Jinbei becomes a blue fish like man whose able to push and pull on the world like water. Luffy: Command: beat o drum of my heart. Shikai: silly stretch man. Luffy and his blade gain rubbery properties that make damaging them very difficult but allow them to execute more powerful maneuvers. Bankai: shining god of the sun Luffy becomes able to bend reality without clear limit. Sorry got tired near the end.

Carrot could use Shunko (Soifon/Yoruichi powers). Shikai can be an armor glove with electric powers that stunt; Bankai can be both gloves and foot armor that transforms her into a lightning when she attacks, she is fast, stunts and blinds on every attack.

I am so so so glad!!!! you added Yamato, Vivi and Carrot to round out the 13 captains, I have to say I almost screamed when I saw you were drawing Yamato, and as always you completely nailed the art style (I would never have thought of that "twist" with Carrot's design , it just fascinated me). And for some reason, among all the details you added, the one I loved the most was Luffy's shoes (Being not only a reference to Yamamoto, but a very good way to "translate" such an iconic feature of Luffy's design), I hope that when we see the full body design of the other Captains, that detail is maintained for the other characters who usually wear sandals or open shoes. And finally, you know, I'll say it until the day finally comes, so... As a request I love to see Vivi (with or without Karoo), Carrot, Momonosuke and Yamato, as Privaron Espada, with their Resurrections :)

Each of these designs follow the idea of "visual exposition," where just looking at their designs tells you a but about their personality. Also. there are a lot of things i love about that drawing! like how Robin's and Sanji's tsubas on their katanas represent their trademarks; Robin's flower petal and Sanji's twirled eyebrow (Sanji reminds me of Shinji, btw). Brook, Franky, Jinbe, and Yamato have their human versions (with Brook giving me Tosen's vibe, but with Love's character! 🔥), and Zoro is like Tosen and Zaraki combined into one character. also, boobs......

Name / Zanpakuto / Release Robin / Corpse Garden / Germinate Robin’s katana becomes a steel pinwheel resembling a flower & capable of spinning & cutting like a buzzsaw. She is able to disperse seeds with her pinwheel that sprout into various body parts that act under her command. Nami / Jubilant Cloud Dragon / Bounce Nami’s katana becomes a staff with a ring on one end. She is able to generate heat, cold, & wind elemental bubbles from her zanpakuto like a bubble blower. These bubbles can be combined in various ways to create a multitude of weather phenomena. Chopper / Embodiment of Perfection / Enhance Chopper is granted the ability to alter & augment his body to best take on any situation. Brook / Requiem of Sorrow / Weep Brook’s katana becomes a rapier. His shikai recounts the tragic tale of a fallen soldier returning home to his living wife & kids, before unintentionally traumatizing & scaring them to death. Brook gains a ghastly appearance with a black skull superimposed on his face. He has the ability to make segments of his body and zanpakuto intangible. By the end of the poem he can deliver a devastating strike capable of freezing his enemies in ice & shattering them. Yamato / Violent Snow Demon / Freeze Yamato’s katana becomes a kanabo. Yamato can command freezing gusts of wind. If concentrated, she can generate and manipulate ice. Vivi / Peacock Empress / Allure Vivi’s katana turns into her Peacock Slasher from the anime. She is able to waft an alluring aroma with her peacock slasher that inhibits the will of enemies that inhale this aroma. Enemies are easily persuaded by Vivi, and if inhaled long enough Vivi will be able to completely command enemies to her will. Usopp / Spider Monkey King / Sprout Usopp’s katana becomes a large slingshot capable of shooting reiatsu seeds that burst into living plants on impact. These various plants can incapacitate and damage enemies. Sanji / Blazing Bird of Paradise / Blaze Sanji’s katana becomes a pair of nunchucks. Sanji can generate and manipulate fire. Carrot / Thundering Roar / Ravage Carrot’s katana become a pair of fluffy gauntlets with claws. She is able to release powerful surges of electricity with her gauntlets. Zoro / King of Hell / Ruin Zoro Wields two katanas, with a third phantom katana hovering around him. The third katana is wielded by an arm of the king of hell. He is able to fight with all three katanas, releasing powerful reiatsu slashes that can easily cut through steel. Franky / Grand Tortoise Shell / Ward Franky can create somewhat durable glass-like barriers that absorb half of the energy of of attacks that shatter the barrier. Franky can stockpile this energy and release it in several ways using his cyborg body. Jinbe / Tsunami / Flow Junbe’s katana generates water as it glides in the air. Jinbe can manipulate this water to add immense force to his strikes, create lacerating slashes of water, and even powerful crushing waves.
