i just wanted to say your videos have helped me so much as an artist and i love all the work you do. I will be selling my art at a craft fair next week and your input on how to start making money as an artist has helped. Thank you for being awesome.

Love your work and your mini art classes, man. This one is a reminder that artwork is created with your MIND, hands are your instruments. There’s a saying in Cambodia; “I think, and then I draw.” Thank you. (now, back to class.)

what if you want to have the character come closer to the viewer?
@zeldaprincessgirl1002 жыл бұрын
This is one of my most major problem in drawing, about knowing if my character is on scale with, let's say a horse or a car, cuz it might turn out small or big.

The straight line feature in Procreate is awesome. Is there anything similar to that in Photoshop that isn't using the line tool or holding shift + click? Sometimes I find that my straight lines look a bit artificial

Hey Trent Dude. I binge watch all your videos. They sike me up. I'm not a aspiring video game artist. But I use your advice for my life goal of becoming a Comic Book Cover Artist. Most of your advice can be use for a lot of art fields. Question. .......how many art pieces should you have in a portfolio? 15-25, 25-35. As a late teen I had less than a dozen, and now older and wiser, I know that was so wrong to do. Lol

What if the figures are on different planes like, maybe some are flying, maybe another is on a ladder or on the roof? EDIT: I think I just figured it out. I'll go try it but will leave this comments in case anyone else is wondering also.

YES I always wondered how to fit character to scale in environments! but what about if they´re sitting, lying down or the like? Can the same technique apply?

Hey Trent! Just heard the big news, that you were collaborating with us over at www.howtodrawcomics.net. You'll have to join us on a Podcast at some point as well! You're one of my all time favorite Youtue teachers, so I had a hard time not squealing in excitement when those news broke :D

Hearthstone Illustration Workshop on gumroad its how many hours long? Amazing art, just asking in this video because its the newst
@TrentKaniuga5 жыл бұрын
There are about 3-4 videos that are over 1 hour + every Hearthstone card that I recorded the painting process for. So total is over 6-7 hours or more.

@@TrentKaniuga cool! For an aspiring concept artist who wants to do freelance you would say it's the best value for money on your gumroad or there's a better one?
@JonLauArt5 жыл бұрын
Maybe it's me, maybe it's the fact that both vanishing points are in the scene so it makes a really forced perspective but I feel like your figure for scale is too small for that house. Like it's a Hobbit sized person trying to live in a human sized house. It's either that or this house just has a ceiling that like 10ft tall xD Other than that, solid info as always.
@TrentKaniuga5 жыл бұрын
If you look at the top of the steps, that's where the floor starts. There's a foundation that adds an extra 2-3 feet. Most houses don't set perfectly level with the ground, in that particular world, it's built right next to a river, so it would have an extra elevated foundation.
