Drawing Whatever THE HECK I Want...because I feel burnt out. 😣

In this week's video I am drawing whatever the heck I want! I am going to draw a digital fan art illustration of Dashing Thief Peach from Princes Peach: Showtime! I am also going to create an original watercolor and colored pencil character illustration.

For help with the scripting, I would suggest writing a basic- detailed (depending on what is better for you) outline of topics u want to mention and about how long you should talk about it for, instead of a full script.Of course, I am no expert, but this helps me so it might help you, as well!! Also, I would love for you to do the “Create This Book 3” by Moriah Elizabeth!! That would be so fun, and I always love when you do traditional art, since that is what I work most with and am better at. It would be fun to see your spin on thigns and your creativity shine! Rebekah !! I say this with every fiber of my being, it is discouraging to see youtube views deplete, but that doesn’t at all determine the quality of your videos ! I, and so many others have been watching your videos for years, and I promise you that it’s okay to just post whatever you feel like posting 🤍 a certain target audience isn’t always required, and people can watch your videos for a number of reasons! I love hearing your voice and the catch-ups on your days, it’s nice to hear how you’re doing and knowing that you, an artist, goes through those burnt out days too. I would like to see you draw in diffrent styles, like super cartoony or semi realistic. But not like,follow a style, just do whatever you like! Like i draw in cartoony style and recently, i started digging my fingers in surrealism. Its really good for art block or when you feel your art has been stif or like, uninspired, which happens to me sometimes. Anyway,love your art, makes me super happy.

Being burnt out is something that happens to everybody and I'm glad you are able to talk about it! I know I personally normally avoid talking about it lol. But I remember that you motivated many times. Especially when you draw whatever you want! I will always watch a video if I have the time to do so. So keep making what you love!

I feel you! It’s very hard for me to do art when I have homeschool, so I try to be fast but sometimes it just burns up my energy. Then there are times when I just stay up way too late, because I’m drawing. One time it was time for me to go to sleep, but my brain was just not wanting to shut up. So I decided to do some art instead and then I realized that it was 5:30am. I was like “oh shoot!”. I never even went back to sleep. I recommend that you take some time to yourself, because that’s really important. (every once in a while) It’s really helpful, for me when I have that kind of stress and anxiety. I also have ADHD also so it’s really tough to pay attention when I’m doing art, especially if friends are at my house. But I have found solutions that work for me at least but if you want to try it, you can! ❤

Hi! I have been watching for a long time and rarely comment but I love all your videos! I watch almost all of them and enjoy watching while I'm drawing alongside you. I can't explain it but the casual way you speak and how you talk about your life as well as the art process really feels like I'm watching a friend do art and I really enjoy it! Also holy sh!t the art pieces are so pretty. I love the watercolor one especially. Idk it just feels different. It's not an angle I see a lot with your art, and it just feels very peaceful, kinda like acceptance? Accepting that this is the way life is and letting yourself flow with the current rather than fighting against it. Also im such a sucker for detective stuff, Peach looks bada$$ XD And the thing about trying to please all of your audience, (btw just to preface, I'm not giving advice or anything, Idk sh!t about youtube algo, it's just smtg I've seen other people talk about) I've seen people say that at one point you have to pick and choose your audience and weed out the people that only want a certain thing from you (I remember a year when you've made pretty much only gacha redraw videos and straying from that also hurt a lot, but in the end, it was good for your channel and yourself to move on). I've seen someone who makes lip balm as a business (eclair lips btw if you want to check them out haha) talk about how the people who want samples for free most probably aren't there to truly support her business and will leave in a heartbeat if they find smtg cheaper or more convenient to them. She made an executive decision to not make free samples because it would not give as much in return as she's expanding in terms of money and resources. Ig what I'm getting at is there are some people who will only stay for the things you make and will leave if that thing stops being made or stops being interesting, and there are some who will stay no matter what you make or do. I stayed because you're genuinely a kind and loving person. You never made people feel bad or targetted when critiquing art. You're always careful in voicing your opinions or preferences as to not offend or hurt someone. You care about your audience. I've found a lot of people I used to follow started to lose their integrity and sold themselves out when they started to get too big. But, you've always felt the same in a way. Sure, you've changed a lot and it was cool seeing your personal developments in terms of art and your life in general (remember when you weren't married and still lived with your siblings XD), so just do what you want, and the people who love you for who you are will stay no matter what you do

Girl I kinda feel you, I don’t draw as much as I used to bc I’ve shifted gears but burnout sucks. I do a bunch of musical theatre with dance classes and school stuff. I got a tiny cold during the week and it’s still effecting my throat so I haven’t been able to sing much and it’s been a low point. This is a reminder that we all feel burnt out and we all have hard days. Sending all our love to you and your family. Do what makes you happy. Ps. The only true way of feeling satisfaction, and joy in what we do is to first, love what we’re doing and not try to please others. When we’re happy it spreads to others. Every time I made art a job, I got burned out completely to the point it took years to even want to use a pen or pencil to sign my name. Do what you love and it will show, people will be engaged in the art and the joy.

I try to be as honest as I can when talking to people, and I have commented in the past about things that might be making me not enjoy a youtuber's content as much(when they ask about it) but I will honestly watch *anything* you put out, because you're just very nice and your art and voice are very calming. I feel like I can relax when I watch your videos because I don't have to worry that you'll say anything disgusting or immoral. I don't know if this is just me, but I can bet that there is a group of people watching you who will just watch anything you make! I absolutely LOVE these illustrations! They’re both beautiful in their own, unique ways. I especially love the drawing of Peach. That is right up my alley, and I think you rendered her hair beautifully! 8:18 -ish. I understand those fears and insecurities. I struggle with thoughts and fears like that all the time. The most prominent thing is whenever I am working on my story. It seems like I always run into some kind of mental conflict that causes me to question if it’s something I should be doing. You are a HUGE inspiration with the way you keep persevering through those insecurities and come off conqueror each time. I’m glad you’re still around, on KZbin! I love you and your videos. So does my family. I would say, keep doing what you love. Maybe don’t try to please KZbin, any more than is necessary, or the potential audience. Creating art is hard work, so you shouldn't feel bad when you're burned out. It's part of the process, as for being KZbinr. Do what you love instead of trying to please everyone. Because it might end up pleasing no one. But people can pick up on passion while you work stuff you love.

I love Love LOVE your vids! They are one of the best parts of my Saturday. I love how Peach turned out! I have been doing traditional art for a good 4 years, since I was 11, and i have only drawn like, 5 full people. I have Been feeling the same but is been the past half of last year and now here, and honestly hearing you talk about your feelings helped me realize am not alone on my feelings, because I feel the same way as you. Do things I love but others don't like it as much, but do things people want you to do and still it doesn't work out. The one thing I always say is this "remember you can't please everyone, but you can please yourself" keep doing the things you love, and I bet most of us will end up felling in love with the things you love as well, because you do so much better on things you like, we all do. I really love your videos, I also bought your autumn festival book so it really hurts to see you down. a tip for getting views is the thumbnails can help for example the "new year new artstyle" video had a really engaging thumbnail and it really popped. (i hope this helps lol) also take breaks if you need it! burnout sucks.

The watercolor one looks so pretty!!! Don't worry, you're not wrong if you get a bit frustrated about videos doing poorly. I know how that feels, my channel's basically dead 😅. It's really discouraging when you put a lot of work into something and it doesn't do well. You're stronger than me at least, I can't bring myself to make anything anymore and you're still pushing through. Honestly, even I get frustrated when your videos don't perform well because you're an amazing person and your artstyle is beautiful. You deserve a lot of love and you don't get as much as you should. oh my goodnesss that last piece was so GORGEOUS!!! i love your new hair and eye process, the difference seems subtle but it makes a huge difference in the quality of art! i think it's worth just trying out a no-script run through. if you try a few times and it doesn't work, you can always just make a script for the video afterwards. and truly i think any artist who's posted things online especially will understand how you feel and that you're not being entitled at all 😭🙏💙 i struggle a lottt with my art and hearing you talk about your struggles is relatable and helps me feel a little bit better about my own struggles.

Hey Bekah! I’m sorry you’ve been feeling burnt out lately, IK how it could feel when your videos aren’t preforming well and when you also don’t know what to draw, but remember to do things that u enjoy :). You sound way happier when doing your passion projects! So I feel like u should keep it that way. Don’t worry, you’ll get out of this rut soon, just try focusing more on yourself and schedule, since I feel like after you work in those areas you will find a solution to this problem :). (Also, you should try not talking without a script! IK that’s not for everyone but it helps a lot since you can really speak your mind and allow yourself to be more goofy. Idk, it works well for me but it’s okay if u don’t want to. Maybe try summarizing your points on a script then talk from your mind off of those points!) ANYYYWAYS, back to the art lol. I LOVE THE FIRST PICTURE SO MUCH!! I’ve been wanting to do lighting like that last week with a picture I made, but it didn’t come out well and now I realized it was because I didn’t shade directly on the multiply layer 🤣! But peach looks so cute in ur style! I adore the way you draw facial expressions tbh. BUT THE LAST ONE IS SUPER GORGEOUS! Seriously! I love the colors and composition of it sm 😰, especially when scanned into the computer! You never fail to get rid of my art block lol. But that’s all I’m gonna say for this week’s video unfortunately 😔!
