Would love to get one. Scared of all the online forum chatter about bad nibs, scratchy nibs, dry writers. I mean, my 100.00 Faber Castell e-motion in black came out of the box in perfect writing condition. But, congrats

@@user-gl5ld9vm7i trust me, I’ve read all of the bad press on Visconti, too. However, mine write perfectly smoothly out of the box (I just had to adjust the reverse nib for drawing purposes, but I’d have to do that on most nibs anyway). I know 6 other people who ordered the Homo sapiens and also had them write perfectly smoothly out of the box. So, anecdotally, I can say everyone I know hasn’t experienced what others have negatively said about the pen. I understand the hesitancy, though.

I am not a fan of the Lamy 2000. Everytime I try to buy it there is something that just stops me. I went to see it in person, thinking maybe if I hold it, I would buy it. Nope. I walked away from it. I just couldn't do it.

@@wolf_ceit_witch I totally understand. There really are so many more pens out there for that price and less that you could get so much more enjoyment from, IMO. I’ve owned 3 of them over the years and at the end, one I sold off and the other two (fine and a medium nib) sit un-inked and generally stored in perpetuity. And I’m a fan of Lamy. I enjoy the Safari and The Aion. I really wanted to love the 2000, but in the end, it is the shape/grinding of their hooded nib that’s weird and has a stub-like quality. It has a bizarre sweet spot and for drawing, makes it “meh” for me.
