We put the Ktwo to a different challenge this time around, we met up with Glendale Tree Services who are running an impressive Valtra T234 Forestry tractor and Heizohack wood chipper. We compared the Ktwo load to that of a Herron H2 18 belonging to McIroys Chickens!

Two tons per load is quite a lot. How does the cost of the two trailers compare and what would the be the outcome financially over the ownership period after factoring in tyres (if needed?) and any servicing costs? An interesting product from K Two and a great video series about the trailer.

2t ? where ? its 750kg difference in load weight. its the difference between weigh in and weigh out which is the load. cant compare the other numbers because its different tractors and trailers but the ktwo brought in 750kg more than the herron first weigh in is total weight inc load and the equipment and second weigh in is the empty weight. from that you know how much wood chippings each trailer brought in

@@SlyFoxl I know how to tare off because I used to driver HGV Class 1 (artics) and tractors and trailer carrying various different loads and on and off weighbridges too. I just misread the figures and made a mistake, however, I won't go on bended knee and ask for an apolgy because I don't do that! What is more amazing perhaps is the KTwo 2500 compactor/push trailer weighing in at 9250kg unladen and with a price tag of £56,800plus VAT. Even if it could carry an extra 2ton, it wouldn't be wroth the extra cost in my opinion. Especially given the price of wood chip per ton. Have a good a good week Mr Fox!

What's the bungee on the green lever for in the chipping tractor?

I would hazard a guess it's to keep constant pressure on the spool valve.

keep the hydraulic flow/pressure on that particular spool valve while operation. most likely the crane gets the hydraulics from the tractor instead of a pump on the pto.
