From a signature? It's just nonsense on the adults end. Draya shouldn't put her business on social media, but she has the right to decline daily signatures for a HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT. As for the educator, the student shouldn't be penalized from the actions of the parent. If the student fails the speech, replace and/or fail the student. The teacher didn't even take into account responsible students without guardians. When do we make students accountable, after high school?

This is a WELL deserved DoD. Parents like this are why so many of our people don't succeed in school. You have to be involved in your kids education. That's what African and Asian parents do and we see how their kids succeed in school. This pisses me off
@stylecollective-qt9um6 жыл бұрын
Exactly. Asian kids account for anywhere from 16%-40% of enrollment in Ivy League and first tier American universities, and Nigerian Americans, who are only .7 percent of the black American population, account for over 7 times that number in college enrollment. I've always followed corporate news closely, and have been noticing the HUGE spike in first generation Nigerian Americans who who now dominate the workplace, they've long left us in the dust and are working towards building generational futures of academic and financial security for their families by using their BRAINS. Meanwhile, we have parents like Draya who can't even help her kid follow the homework guidelines to memorize a class speech., smdh...

My mom never helped me with homework.. My grandma always did.. My mom encouraged me to drop out of hs and I did. Then I got pregnant and was behind two years. Went to school pregnant, was in the nurses office everyday throwing up.. The year after I was going to school after staying up all night with a newborn. And still managed to graduate on time with my class June 9th 2020, and my bday was the day after. No complaints, my daughter motivated me to go back to school and graduate while my mom tried to hold me back.

I'm not saying that she doesn't give a shit about her kid... but this after that story is really painting an picture of her not giving a shit about her kid.

She's just a parent venting bc she's still a human being. It's an honest moment eventhough social media isn't the right place for it. All parents know there are moments like this when things get annoying. Breakfast club is just using her name for click bait 😒

I have a question..& I'm no grandma & understand social media BUT I can I ask when will the day come when everyone doesn't have to post their whole life story online? Was it necessary to post this? sigh I'm soooo fed up of hearing about people's every move...

It's confusing.... even for adults with Ph.Ds. Technically nothing changed: 1 + 1 is still 2. But the common core BS will have a kid believing 11.

She should feel blessed that she can hear her child's voice every day, because there are parents out there with children who are nonverbal who wish and pray they could hear their child's voice. Smh

I don’t have children but I have nieces and nephews and believe me, when they wanted to read their lines or sing songs to learn for school plays and projects, I was there for a listening ear. Yes, I WAS THE AUNTIE SITTING ON THE THIRD ROW RECITING ALL THEIR LINES WITH THEM WITH TEARS IN MY EYES BECAUSE I WAS SOOOO PROUD OF THEM! SHE NEEDS TO REALLY JUST NOT COMPLAIN ABOUT A FREAKING SIGNATURE AND WOULD SHE RATHER HER SON BE A RUDE, DISOBEDIENT, SMART MOUTH CHILD OR ONE WHO LEARNS AND DOES HIS HOMEWORK, AND BY THE WAY DID SHE GRADUATE FROM HIGH SCHOOL?

As a parent I don't sign hmwk but I have my child write hmwk assignments for each class and have teacher sign so I'm on the same page as to what my son has to do daily. When assignment is complete and I know my son finished it I will initial back. It's been working for my household.
