Drayton Manor Review | Worst Day At A Park Since Legoland

I’ve missed Grumpy reviews! Totally agree with the zoo, feels like it’s on its last legs really. Needs to either go or needs a lot of money invested in it.

It’s sad to see, if you look at somewhere like chessington that has the perfect balance of it, It just feels like it’s there and that’s that.

@@ThemeParkDudeReviews when I used to go as a child the zoo was brilliant. Think it’s just been forgotten about. In the last few years of the Bryan family reign there were lots of plans for modernising the zoo that fell flat

Plus Drayton does have has 3 sit down restaurants possibly more since I been going from 2008-2023 those are the adventure cove place burger kitchen and the safari pizza and pasta they have always been sit down resturants

Interesting video I do think the haunting at Drayton manor is underrated I don’t think it’s better than hex but the haunting has more years on it than hex

It looks a s though you went on a busy day last summer. The park has got a sit down restaurant, which is the safari pizza. This is probably one of the best theme park food offerings in the uk. The other food outlets are hit and miss. Shockwave is at the end of its life and now closed, before major changes for the next season. The zoo like all other UK zoos is poor and personally I think you are better off at safari parks if you want to see animals. There have been significant changes at the park since the neglect in the final years of the previous owners due to debt. The adventure cove and vikings are examples of how the park can be improved. The new wild west area for 2024 should improve the offering. I would agree some staff availability has hit ride ops and availability of the food offering last year when this was filmed. I suspect July looking at the video. Hopefully this is an area that can be resolved given the new roller coaster opening, re-imagined shockwave and newly reintroduced Terrance ride in Thomasland for 2024. I hope that you go back at some point and see if things have changed. The issues in this video are present at all Merlin parks also.

I can assure you this video was not to make Drayton look bad, it was simply a reflection of a snap shot in time, I agree that the Viking area is a brilliant addition to this park as is Tomas land, In regards to merlin attractions I have been harsher on them in previous videos

@@ThemeParkDudeReviews I never took it as that. I was giving a different view. There are some issues and the fact that you said 'since legoland'. As I'm thinking of going to Legoland, maybe need to watch that video. I think maybe a visit in the future may be worthwhile. A lot of people have criticised the park for moving away from thrill towards family thrill. I personally think it is among the better parks in the UK along with Paultons. I like the variety of rides rather than say just rollercoasters that some parks focus on. I will be interested to hear what people say about project sparkle at the merlin parks. I think all the theme parks need to up their game this year.

Couldn’t agree more with the safari pizza restaurant. It’s a winner, the park is in a weird place for me personally at the moment. Looping group deffo have the will and want to improve the park but they do have a lot of work from what was left over from the Bryan family. Vikings and adventure cove are great examples of what the park could be like in the future
