To be honest, I thought that a monopoly has total control over the demand and the quantity delivered by them and it is called a monopoly. For example, Standart Oil was dissolved during its time because it monopolized the oil market, obtaining total control over the delivery of the product to the market, thus controlling the price.

The sellers don't have any control over the demand....just supply. The problem for consumers is that there are no good substitutes for the good, so the firm has "market power." However, this does not mean they control demand. The buyer is the one who makes the decision of whether they will buy the good or not.
