Moved to Site-19 1993. Origin is as of yet unknown. It is constructed from concrete and rebar with traces of Krylon brand spray paint. SCP 173 is animate and extremely hostile. The object cannot move while within a direct line of sight. Line of sight must not be broken at any time with SCP173 . Personnel assigned to enter container are instructed to alert one another before blinking. Object is reported to attack by snapping the neck at the base of the skull, or by strangulation. In the event of an attack, personnel are to observe Class 4 hazardous object containment procedures.

This is the first SCP Origin story I’ve seen that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed. SCP Explained has been a huge let down for a few months at least, and I thought Dr Bob was going to start following their trend of videos, but he saved it with this one. This was great. It was dark enough and felt like something I hadn’t seen yet. SCP Explained just loves to self reference their own videos/stories, let’s not let Dr Bob fall down that dark self-serving path.

I've seen other iterations of the origins of scp 173, this version however seems to be incomplete. A lot of detail was omitted from the statue that kind of made the whole aesthetic of the anomaly. Also, for a keter class scp this deadly to have a back story that's so...simple (For lack of a better n less offensive word) is kinda disappointing. I enjoyed watching it tho.
