Dr Bob did a great job with that vid. It fucks with me how Water Nymphs story is so real and familiar and unjust in general. But it also fucks with me how the "canon" of it because the Foundation would absolutely be dumb pricks and treat this entity so harshly out of pointless curiosity without making attempts to communicate. @@dukewild5071 true, at that time they really thought of her as a dangerous and malignant entity but she was showing a lot of signs of curiousity and friendliness. they were studying how she worked and made no attempts to communicate with a humanly sapient organism. the way she was treated as that she wasnt applied to the human condition when she practically is human. she had feelings just like a human being and suffered from anxiety and mental anguish like one. she is however more responsive to elemental changes than a human being, her greatest weaknesses were susceptibility to cold, extreme heat, and electricity. oh and pollution. she cannot stand pollution.

You know... if they just studied Malaysian culture, they would know that the Penanggalan fed on the blood of unborn fetus. They made a whole movie about it and everything. Mystics in Bali 1981. Its about a student writing a book on black magic and gets lessons for a Leák witch. The witch eventually transforms her into a Penanggalan and she... what else... feeds on unborn children. Nice of them to make an SCP about it, but its been a Malaysian folklore for... far longer than the SCP Foundation has been around. You would think if they had the local name of Penanggalan, they would know its folklore. I mean, they at least shouldn't have put a pregnant woman in the room with it... or be surprised that it ate the fetus.

I live with an SCP. I have her numbered as 0000. She is a Labrador pit mix. She is classed safe. Instances are known to eat out of the garbage, eat the cats treats and eat my Cheetos. You can’t stop the instances but milkbones and attention seem to calm the instance of the SCP known as Lady bug.

Interesting! I too live with an SCP. Though she appears to be a cat of smaller than average size. Her anomalous attributes include causing humans to cry just from the sight of her, though she weighs almost 8 pounds anyone holding her would think she weighs less than five, And she is impossible to contain. A person can put this instance into a containment, but within minutes that person or another person will feel strongly compelled to let the instance out of containment.

SCP 2611 is just what it's like to have Diabetes type 2. Except, you don't black-out and do stuff. You fall asleep due to high blood sugar, and you get anxiety when it gets too low. But you really do gain weight at an unfairly rapid rate. It's truly terrifying. My hat is off to whoever came up with this SCP, because they definitely know what it's like to struggle with weight issues.
