CAUTION ADVISED: this podcast contains swearing
Author and podcast host, Rich Roll, reveals the steps we can take to master our mind and body - from spending time alone, to learning how to say no. He believes that many of us overestimate what we can do in a short period of time and wildly underestimate what we're capable of accomplishing over a decade or a number of years - consistency is the key to success.

Thank you very much for this wonderful interview! *Addiction* is the result of being disconnected from *Knowledge.* It can represent addiction to a variety of things including drugs alcohol relationships seeking pleasure recreational activities *Most people are so given to survival and gratification that they cannot see anything else.* They are intoxicated with themselves and with *those things that they use for their own self-avoidance.* They can only be led by powers that are beyond themselves. They are helpless to resist. From: Steps to Knowledge Continuation Training, Step 79: I have a mission in my life to fulfill. By *Marshall Vian Summers*

As a recovering alcoholic I have found that solitude is my best friend. It’s a chance to get to know myself. It’s an interesting journey.

I can blame my childhood and my upbringing but the bottom line is, it’s up to me to move on and not use my childhood as an excuse.

I lost 110 lbs and I look at that exactly as being an alcoholic and I relate to every word Rich spoke. My brother died of alcoholism, we had the same problem in a different form. I am in recovery for 20 years my brother died from his addiction.

on the Iawaska (sp) Rich and Rangan Hallelua! No substances necessary for personal dominion...also how about the theory that alcoholism is a behavioral condition medicated by the use of alcohol..

I am 72 and definately feeling it . I can’t eat as much as I ate 3 yrs back , I get tired after 6/7 of light work and light exercise ! I do not take any suoliments or calcium’s or D ,E or B complex . My question is I am okay if I don’t feel on it but things in the body do pain lije the Past accidented parts and an fine spending time by myself and 2/3 times with friends is very fulfilling , having said if that Is natural then I take it well but if not do supplements really work . The pains in bone or done discomforts are tolerable I am active and not afraid of death either .. since it’s the first time I am getting old at 71/72 2 yrs . Why should we not be sympathetic to age and understanding to its nature of older age !??????

Night shades are tomatoes, eggplant, onions, peppers. Do you take VitaminD3? Get your levels checked. Low D3 = pain, take minerals, magnesium also eliminate dairy,

I don’t think Mother nature expects us to ‘earn’ everything ~ usually she provides us with exactly what we need. ~ I think It’s what we do with those gifts that become our disciplines….then we earn ‘things’….

Just an observation...Rich told of his upbringing and how dedicated his father was to getting him to a from swimming u!sing the time to do his work while he waited for his son to fullfiull his swiming, education etc. maybe Rich hasnt really embraced the appreciation of his parents sacrifices and dedication....just saying...its complicated
