As this story is being told I couldn't help but remember the way my Dad was towards me while I was growing up. The way the story was written, the way the people talk and the way @Dr. Creepen reads it and does the voices is amazing and had me cycling back in the video to hear different parts over and over again which no other story has ever really had me do. Amazing job by both of you and I hope there are more collaborations like this from you both in the future. Anyone who hasn't heard this CHECK IT OUT.

To those who have commented about their own abuse, my heart goes out to you. Our past molds us for our present and future, the overall outcome is based on our choices. As one survivor to many others, we’ve got this as our darkness (abuse) became our own light( kindness) to guide us on our way!

Ngl this was a hard one for me. I grew up with a very abusive father who put me in the hospital more than once. My mother looked the other way. I crippled him when I was 16 and strong enough to fight back. But still cannot live normally to this day. Having children of my own made it harder to understand their actions.

I do need to make a statement about the character description in the early chapter of the story. The one who describes himself as longing for death, constantly anxious, personality disorder, and every single other malady that was touched upon may as well have been written by me. It so accurately described me in the fullest and most detailed way that only the best psychiatrist that I’ve ever seen in my long, long history of this illness has been able to correctly identify and combine. Just one. Since I was too young to even realize why I felt the way I did. It’s not that I’m proud of this, and I am most definitely not asking for sympathy. But it struck me like a lightning bolt when that combination of traits was spoken. I simply had to speak on it, as It hit me that I am quite possibly not the only person who knows this exact pain, and no that doesn’t bring me joy, and I won’t dare say that I understand. As It was merely coincidence that this was written and I happened to hear it, if you believe in that sort of thing. So, if that collection of disorders is actually coming from someone who also deals with them, my heart goes out to them. And my best wishes for their recovery and healing. 🙏

We've all faced"heavy handed" adult relatives (being vague on purpose) in our lives. What makes US better than them is we have identified it as a "vicious cycle" that ends with US: pity them for being victims and too weak to break the cycle. I guess , in a way this story echos a "disease" that is passed through the generations that rots our "metal" (our inate traits of inner strength and character). Or it's just a conversation provoking story. Either way, worth the listen and thank you for narrating it!!!

great read. there is some violence, and abuse that we can get over, and live with, . somr times the violence from our past, is the only thing, that actually makes us decent humans later in life. i am better than the people that raised me, and i refuse to ever follow their lead as to what a man truely is.

Well Damn! Highest praise to Kyle Meadows for an unusual yet gripping story about something completely untouched in an entirely new direction. This one definitely grabbed me and held on until the very last second. Which if I’m to be honest is not the most common thing to happen for me. Such a unique area to explore and yet while it at first seemed to be only about an abusive family and it’s possible trait of rageful behaviors being passed down like a genetic mutation, it became so much more. Thank you Dr Creepen for choosing this gem, and I do sincerely hope that Mr. Meadows does explore this topic again. That ending was quick, and about as best as I have seen left it open, or not for a sequel. And whichever way ge chooses to take it it’s still an ending that leaves me satisfied. My only wish for more stems from the excellent work and again, unique area that we were shown. So job exceptionally well done!! 👍👍👍👍👍

@johannageisel5390 Жыл бұрын
@@DemonOwnedYou It generally works for cosmic horror storries to leave stuff unsaid, because it contributes to the air of mystery and alienness. But I think you put a bit too many "strands of plot" or allusions into this story that didn't get resolved. We have: 1. The disease and what it does to the carriers 2. What it does to metal and other people 3. The cult and why it formed, what it wants 4. The legends with the maidens and whatnot 5. The entity So, 5 things that are very loosely connected. And none of those gets its final explanation. If you had fully or mostly explained point 1 to 4, it would have been fine to leave the exact nature of the entity vague. But as it is now I feel left with the feeling that if I knew more about this entity, everything else would finally make sense.
