Deru-sama/SayakatheSnoo here! I've been learning to play Budokai 2 as a speed game as of late, and not ONCE have I managed to get a no damage Kid Buu fight. I don't know how to cancel at all, I can't seem to ever get the timing right. Kid Buu is, by and large, the biggest threat to a run because, left unchecked, he rips through characters like a paper shredder rips through paper - he was designed to be immensely difficult without Viral Heart Disease+Vaccine or the AI manipulation seen here, which I lack skill in. Fortunately, I use that the whole run and it makes things immensely easier. I haven't submitted a run yet, I plan on getting recording hardware and my PC fixed up first.

Ive been trying to beat Super Buu with a full senzu and RAGE!!! on very hard difficulty in Duel Mode. Exception is I have to beat him with Vegito. I usually can kill the ""first" Buu but after the bean, even after becoming Vegito, I always come up short. Im not really that good but its been taking my time up. SHOULD TRY IT. Love this game

You should be able to find it in Story Mode while fighting Majin Vegeta iirc. Otherwise, you can just refresh the Skill Shop until you find it. Lastly, if you're playing B2 on PS2, you can use the L1 / L2 glitch to get it for free.

I figured out where Angel's Halo is located. It's not purchasable in the store. Have to dig for it in Dragonworld. I found it in Level 3 (Frieza stage on Namek). A capsule appears in the upper left hand corner after several turns. Beat Frieza to the capsule and it has random chance of being Angel's Halo. Most of the time it is a Combat Spirit Improving rare capsule. But sometimes Angels Halo pops up.@@Dr._Doppietta

Because EU ver was ofc meant to be sold in Europe, so different people had to choose their language. US ver, instead, was for americans and they only speak english, so no reason to let them choose their language.

@@1DAR26 Goten gains a defense boost when he comes in contact with Goku and Kid trunks on the overworld. Add that with the best jacket capsule in the game, then find any armor upgrade underground, his DEF will be over 200 and he’ll take no damage from any attack if it’s high enough. And yes, it will register “perfect” at the end of the fight

Quesiton: Does Kid Buu's AI from story mode and vs mode have differences in their maximum difficulty?

Good question! In Story Mode, Kid Buu's AI is basically always maxed out, so it doesn't really matter if you're playing on Easy or Hard, he's still very tough. In Duel Mode, instead, Kid Buu's AI is actually the level you select it to be, so you can face him on Easy difficulty.

B2 is actually easier than B3 in my opinion lol. You taking no damage in B3 fights is far more impressive.

Not quite. B2's AI can be easily tricked with sidesteps, but beside that it's really relentless. Kid Buu just needs one gap to get in and smash you completely. B3 AI instead is terrible, just spamming Ki Blasts and Hyper Mode.

@@Dr._Doppietta and that's what ruins hyper mode for me. I remember when I was a little kid playing budokai 3 and fought nappa and he went hyper mode and destroyed me with hyper mode. I couldn't find out for the love of my life how to avoid it. I didn't have internet then. It's safe to say that I took the game out and out budokai 2 back in and kept playing it. I ended up taking it back to the store and regretted it 2 years later when i got a phone and saw that budokai 3 had good reviews and a lot of love and then I felt stupid. Eventually later I managed to get the hd collection to replay budokai 3 and I still liked 2 better because dragon rush got on my nerves. I can appreciate 3 better as far as multiplayer but vs AI is annoying. I actually don't mind dragon rush online or in multiplayer because its fun to predict a human's mind and screw them over, but against cpu its annoying. It's safe to say that dragon rush ruined my overall experience with budokai 3. The only reason I'm so mad at dragon rush because everything else is so good about budokai 3 that i wanna love the game but I just can't bring myself to love it
