Hi Dr Dray, Being a Librarian, I got really happy when you stopped at the Library. Yay!! The latest book I read and really enjoyed was “The Air raid Book Club” by Annie Lyons. It’s set in London during WW II. I just loved it. I agree with A Child called it. So devastating. Btw, love your posts.

For washing my face: Adding the matching wrist cuffs to my headband was game changing for me. I previously would not like washing my face because I’d hate the water dripping down my arms to the elbow. Can’t stand the sensation! Plus the mess! Now with the wrist cuffs in my life I’m way more willing to do this task and even enjoy it. I’ve even moved to having two sets in the bathroom for the week: alternating each day in case they were wet from the previous.

I read A Boy Called It. It was really tough but also inspiring. I love stories of people, animals overcoming incredibly tough traumas. I am glad you picked a light read. The world is super tough so I think a light read is good for the mind. Also, I am loosing lots of hair and you encouraged a Derm visit. Well, I finally went this week. She biopsied my scalp to see what is going on. She thinks it may be because I had a very serious case of shingles on my arm for three months. Yes, I had the vaccine but I have a genetic immune deficiency so I didn’t produce antibodies. Hope you have a relaxing weekend and a happy Halloween if you partake.

Happy Saturday everyone! - Dr. Dray u can just get some cheap microfiber wristbands to get rid of the drips :) been a game changer for my cleansing routine! I love the ordinary barrier serum! I’ve seen what this can do when I used a product that gave me an itchy rash, my normal serums were stinging so I washed it all off and applied the pink one and there was no stinging & after about two hours the rash was almost gone plus the itchiness subsided immediately. I also really love the texture! But I did find that on damp skin it caused pilling, so I just use it on dry.

@@21972012145525 Hi thanks for your reply. I’ve switched from La Roche Effaclar (as I found it to be too stripping for my face- maybe from overuse) to La Roche Posay Toleraine, the Lipkar Baumé moisturizer, Stubborn acne or Benzagel spot treatment, and Cerave AM moisturizing lotion with sunscreen. Every other day I’ve been using Cerave resurfacing gel. Since switching to the more gentle Toleraine cleanser my face has cleared up a lot in the past few weeks.

Just want to randomly thank Dr Dray for educating me about Petrolatum. It's full on winter here, with temps under 0 the last couple days. And my skin looks so good...honestly better than last week when it was in the 50s lol. I walk my dog 2-3x/day, and just a smidge of product (for me, the CVS dupe of aquaphor + aquaphor SPF lip balm) before I go outside has really worked to lock in all my good humectants! The crepe smoothing Gold Bond has quite a bit of petrolatum plus our beloved urea, I think I'll use that over sunscreen with ointment on my most vulnerable areas (cheeks). The Tarte juicy blush also has a lot of wax in it, I am hoping it's a good choice for Arctic days.

Ebook recommendation for Dr Dray. Wild, hilarious and thought-provoking, Puff Piece is a probing look into Big Tobacco and the vaping industry, and how words can be literally a matter of life and death. The author of Puff Piece is John Saffran, who is a very bright Australian satirist, who is a "good trouble maker". I was using albolene first but the tugging irritates my face. So I use mineral oil first as a moisture barrier not so much for double cleansing. Then I use Vanicream. I don't like using 2 cleansers but my rosacea needs the film left behind. I also have LRP dermo cleanser but the film isn't enough. Ugh.

Your rosacea needs a film? Usually it's the opposite
