I calculated the price per ounce for each of the products mentioned if you want to pick one purely off of best value! 1. Advanced clinicals ($1/oz) 2. Paula's choice ($6/oz) 3. Replenix body lotion ($12/oz) 4. Neutrogena ($13.50/oz) 5. Perricone MD ($17/oz) 6. Differin/Adapalene ($18/oz) Hope this helps!

Kinda off topic, but tretinoin (stronger than retinol) is really great for dark spots on the body also. My chest was covered in dark spots from my eczema scars. And tretinoin cleared it up 🙌🏽

I've wondered about this too. I have heard other skin care channels on here say that using strong vitamin A creams (aka tretinoin Lol) on large areas of skin consistently could possibly lead to Vitamin A deficiency in the body. I wonder how true this is. Dr Dray's reasoning for not doing it seems to be just that it would be expensive, so I'd assume she might touch on that if it were true but it'd be cool to hear her input. Cheers :)

AWESOME, I just bought the Advanced Clinicals a couple months ago! I'm so glad it has your approval. I wasn't quite sure about the stability of it but I wanted something cruelty free and vegan and affordable. I emailed them to ask about the percentage of retinol and haven't heard back yet, but I hope I do. Also, I too love that it's a pump, and I also love that it's pretty much a jar with a pump so you can open if up and scrape out the last of it that the pump won't get.

So great to hear you say that the order of ingredients listed on a product doesn't mean the last ingredients are too low to be effective. Yay Dr Dray! Also would be great if influencers would specify the difference between fragrance and smell, for example, natural vitamin E and rose hydrosol are ingredients I use in formulas and both have strong smells. Vitamin E has a slightly unpleasant smell and I use rose hydrosol not only to mask V E, but also for its mild anti-inflamatory and anti-bacterial properties. Added bonus is the fragrance. Thank you for all the information you freely give 🙌

Yeah! Finally someone addressing the skincare of our bodies. Our arms and legs matter too, lol. I have been caring for my face with sunscreens, Retinols and antioxidants etc...but, now seeing age spots on my legs and arms, really don’t like the signs of damage from my teenage/not as wise years... Thanks 🙏🏻 for addressing this issue for us all. Your videos are so informative and helpful. Really appreciate your detailed information!

I am the same way. My legs look awful. Im so embarrassed and get depressed. I have to use body makeup in the summer. I cant stand it. Makes me want to lay in bed all day so i dont have to do the work and cover my flaws with makeup. I hate being unnatural. I feel so ugly when I never use to be..

I am grateful you did this video. Advanced Clinicals retinol body cream isn’t sold in Canada and if you order from Walmart, it I’d $44 a jar. Kindly continue to give us updates of retinol products for the body as you discover more of them on the market. I briefly talk about purchasing Amlactin from Amazon and the cost that Canadians have to pay for a cheap bottle sold in USA on my channel. It’s frustrating to pay more than double of its cost. 💋

Thank you so much for this Dr Dray! I've been trying to find good products for arms and chest with sun damage and repair (growing up in Australia and living on the beach in my childhood, I'm now seeing the sun damage and trying to fix it). You're you're right! It's so hard to find good quality actives for the body (that aren't super expensive!) I have been using the ordinary products but I will now get on board and try the products you suggest! Thanks again, love your channel!

I ordered the Advanced Clinicals and have now used it daily on damp skin on my body every day for 1.5 weeks. I have not have any irritation or peeling at all, which is unexpected treating new areas with retinol. I have lots of experience with retinol on my face and I do have peeling/irritation when I use, for example, the Neutrogena one daily. I therefore doubt it has much active retinol at all. I’m wondering if Dr. Dre or others had a similar experience. It is a nice, gently cream, just possibly almost no retinol.

DECIEM has been partly owned by Estée Lauder for four years and Brandon Truaxe (founder) wanted ELC to eventually take over DECIEM with the understanding that they would carry through with his vision of the company. My guess is that they’ll take the approach that “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!” and hopefully their product availability will improve significantly. I also think that there are now too many competitors (Inkey List, Good Molecules, Indeed, etc) for them to make major changes to their product concepts and price points.
