I've wondered about this too. I have heard other skin care channels on here say that using strong vitamin A creams (aka tretinoin Lol) on large areas of skin consistently could possibly lead to Vitamin A deficiency in the body. I wonder how true this is. Dr Dray's reasoning for not doing it seems to be just that it would be expensive, so I'd assume she might touch on that if it were true but it'd be cool to hear her input. Cheers :)

So great to hear you say that the order of ingredients listed on a product doesn't mean the last ingredients are too low to be effective. Yay Dr Dray! Also would be great if influencers would specify the difference between fragrance and smell, for example, natural vitamin E and rose hydrosol are ingredients I use in formulas and both have strong smells. Vitamin E has a slightly unpleasant smell and I use rose hydrosol not only to mask V E, but also for its mild anti-inflamatory and anti-bacterial properties. Added bonus is the fragrance. Have been using Paula's choice.....kinda pricey. I'm switching to Advanced Clinical. Dr Dray seemed to like it and it's not tested on animals. Another good point.

Hi Dr Dray, should I apply retinol on the body when it's still damp or should I wait for it to dry?

I've been using the Advanced clinical as a body lotion for anti aging purposes, but I swear it takes forever and a day to get this lotion to rub in.

I'm so glad you mentioned the brand Advanced clinicals. I've been wondering about this product for a while and how good it was to use. They actually sell it at a store we have in Connecticut called Ocean State for $6. You cannot beat that. Do you have any advice on using that brand for the face? Thank you so much
@dross13172 жыл бұрын
Thank you for sharing Ocean State Job Lots as a source for Advanced Clinicals. Picked up 2 tubs yesterday (would not have thought to go there if not for your post). Unbeatable price!! (Even a year after your post, it was in stock. Hoping that means it’s a regularly in-stock item.)

I do occasionally use retinol on my body. I always wear sleeved clothes and pants so the sun doesn't directly hit my skin. These are great suggestions though 👏🏻

I just saw an Olay retinol body wash. I wanted to buy it, but was unsure because I never heard of retinol for the whole body . Then you come out with this video... perfect timing. THANK YOU for all your knowledge.

Wouldnt it not do anything because you just wash the retinol off? I figured it was just a gimmick/cash grab lol

@@InimeKai Yes I thought about that too. Glad I didn’t purchase it.

Your channel is life! I have just started using PTR skin care for my body. It a two step process. The first step is an exfoliating gel and body moisturizer with retinol, ceramics, colloidal oatmeal and Shea butter. They were on sale sold as a set on QVC. Thought I would give it a try.

I am shocked by the news of DECIEM being bought by Estée Lauder😩. While it makes the current owners rich, I fear the prices will have to increase greatly!

I'm pretty sure a lot of people will be more concerned about their cruelty free status.
@JulienArbor3 жыл бұрын
DECIEM has been partly owned by Estée Lauder for four years and Brandon Truaxe (founder) wanted ELC to eventually take over DECIEM with the understanding that they would carry through with his vision of the company. My guess is that they’ll take the approach that “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!” and hopefully their product availability will improve significantly. I also think that there are now too many competitors (Inkey List, Good Molecules, Indeed, etc) for them to make major changes to their product concepts and price points.

Dr. Dray what are your thoughts on using lactic acid during the day, under sunscreen of course. What’s the best way to use it if I am already using Tretnoin?
