As an asian, we really care about skin brightening. A lot of my skincare products contain the ingredients mentioned. These are what i've used. All of these are Korean products except The Ordinary. It's not i don't use western skincare at all, but when it comes to brightening product, it seems that asian skincare have more potent brightening ingredient 😅 I have tons of products that i have tried but i list down products that have the mentioned ingredients located at top 5 in their ingredient list. ... Vitamin C: Tia'm C Source Serum (Contain 20% L-ascorbic acid), Some By Mi Yuja Niacin Serum (Contain 82.3% Yuja fruit) Hydroquinone: Cos De Baha 2% Hydroquinone Brightening Serum. Kojic Acid: Cos De Baha 2% Hydroquinone Brightening Serum. Azelaic Acid: Cos De Baha 10% Azelaic Acid Serum. Vitamin A: The Ordinary Retinol. Salicylic Acid: Cosrx Blackhead Power Liquid (4% Natural BHA consists of willow bark water as the 1st ingredient and Betaine Salicylate as the 3rd), Cos De Baha Salacylic Acid BHA 4% Serum Licorice Root: Acwell Licorice pH Balancing Cleansing Toner (This have 10% Licorice root extract as 2nd ingredient after water). Niacinamide: Tia'm 10% Niacinamide+2% Arbutin, The Ordinary 10% Niacinamide+1% Zinc. Sunscreen: Purito Centella Green Level Unscented ... The most powerful brightening product goes to Cos De Baha Hydroquinone Brightening Serum. This serum alone contains a lot of actives mainly for brightening which is 2% Hydroquinone, 4% Azelaic Acid, 4% Niacinamide, Kojic Acid, Salacylic Acid, Lactic Acid, Hyaluronic Acid. I used this for spot treatment and it works wonder😭 ... Sorry, most of them are unfamiliar to you, but i suggest you to try them since they are very cheap yet effective!!! If you don't know what to choose among the list, I suggest you to try Tia'm C Source Serum, Cos De Baha Hydroquinone Brightening Serum and Cos De Baha Azelaic Acid Serum. The Tia'm C Source Serum is for people who are familiar with vitamin C as it's too potent. Otherwise, i suggest you to try their niacinamide one as it did brightened my friend's face significantly while he has sensitive skin. Hope it helps whoever read this 😁

Timeless has one that is effective, cosmetically elegant, has air tight packaging, doesn't oxidize and is less than $20.00 in the US. Dr. Brenner has one also under $20.00, that is almost identical to the $135.00 Skinceuticals C Ferulic. I use my AHA right before I apply my Vitamin C, as that seems to help it absorb better.

My skins looking amazing now. Theirs is in a pump now instead of a dropper, I keep it in the fridge and it's still nice and clear. I'm one month into adapalene. After using and loving the CeraVe resurfacing retinol for two weeks, I noticed that it was causing my acne to purge, so I decided to grab the bull by the horns, switch to adapalene, and just get the purge over with. My cheeks are purging like CRAZY, and my jaw and forehead are very mildly purging. Despite being pretty much the most broken out I've ever been, I'm still VERY happy, because I feel like the results abd the purging are very promising! And my skin that isn't broken out looks AMAZING, and my hyperpigmentation from a decade of mild to moderate acne is barely visible. I use the AcneFree Adapalene, CeraVe products for cleansing and moisturizing, and ThinkSmart tinted sunscreen. The Drmtlogy C E Ferulic acid serum is half the price, same formula (% of each ingredient)! I love it so much so far! Plus they always have sales. I highly recommend as an alternative to Skinceuticals

Are any of these products safe during breastfeeding? I like the idea of the soy product but it didn’t say anything about safety. Thank you for awesome content!

I am trying this stuff from Target, called Urban something. It has retinol, Kojic acid, azaleic acid, niacinimide and it’s for hyperpigmentation. Will see if it works.

Awesome video! I have been wanting the It Skin Li. In the morning I do 01) Cerave Vit C, 02) Hada Labo Hyaluronic, 03) Cerave moisturizer, 04) sunscreen. In what order should I layer the licorice root It Skin? I was thinking after the Hyaluronic. 🤷🏻♀️

It’s not cheap, but the Dark Spot Correcting Serum from Dr. Dennis Gross includes several of these ingredients, including l-ascorbic acid, ferulic acid, arbutin (related to hydroquinone but with fewer side effects), kojic acid, licorice root, azelaic acid, and soy. It’s been very effective for me.

Jason S why are you using it for please
@jason-7404 жыл бұрын
Rita Sharqawi I am using it as a spot treatment to deal with a few sunspots that I have. I think it would also do a fantastic job of overall brightening, but I already use Dr. Gross’s C + Collagen serum for that purpose.

Jason S thank you so much I’m dealing with melasma 😔
@jason-7404 жыл бұрын
Rita Sharqawi I believe it is also very effective for melasma too. In fact, I think it is what Dr. Gross would recommend as the first thing to try for melasma.

Another great video, Dr. Dray. My husband thinks I’m crazy for applying sunscreen indoors, and I made him watch that portion of your video. Quickly though, how do you feel about alpha Arbutin? Do you find it effective in reducing hyperpigmentation and do you find it tolerable by dry/dehydrated skin types?

Can not recommend enough the PCA Skin Care line, especially their peptide serum with epidermal growth factor for after Dermapen sessions. Their vitamin C&E Advanced with Hexylresorcinol & Silymarin is highly recommended; the tocopherol (5%) makes the vitamin C (20%) far more stable. I believe the Pigment Gel HQ Free was developed for countries such as Canada that have stricter rules surrounding hydroquinone.

What are your thoughts on using natural ingredients with no additives. Eg edamame paste, mushroom for kojic acid, fruits for Vit C. To minimize the additional chemicals. Are they effective.
