Aveeno Eczema Balm - highly recommended by Dr. Dray - is awesome. Looks like vaseline and you might be scared but it sinks in beautifully. (I don't even have eczema. So glad she turned me on to it).

I just tried the CeraVe moisturizing cream on your recommendation and I have to say I love it. It's actually more moisturizing than vanicream moisturizing cream when I use it on my face. Also, I tried the Bioderma Sensibio AR cream on my red face and this morning the redness has calmed down a lot! Thanks Dr Dray!

After 47 years I FINALLY found my body skin holy grail.... Straight out of the shower (before drying) I use Baby oil on my body, and then I use Eucerin Rough and Bumpy all over that (learned about that brand from your channel). I let it dry for a few minutes and then my skin is SO SOFT until my next shower!! Thank you for your recommendations - you are really making a difference in my skin care!! The Eucerin Rough and Bumpy is by far the most effective lotion I've tried. I even bought a tub for everyone in my family! Those bumps on the backs of my arms are GONE! YIPPEEE!!!

Avenno restorative skin line has changed my winter. It’s been using the products for only a few weeks and I noticed a difference the first night. If you want one for your face La roche posay cicaplast baume b5 is very good. It's about $15.00. Also their Lipikar balm AP+ is a great body cream. Trader Joe's Head to Toe balm is very good for hands and feet. It has shea butter and beeswax. It comes in a metal container and is 4 or 5 dollars. Thank you for your service.

Two of my favorite are Gold Bond Eczema (2%colloidal oatmeal) and Curél Ultra Healing Intensive (red header-extra dry skin). When you have nasty cracked hands from all the soap and sanitizer. Use these I have eczema and fragrance tends to burn. These do not have fragrance.

The Eucerin cream is the only thing that helped my infant's eczema lesions. They were to the point of scarring and we did everything the pediatrician recommended but randomly tried this after my hand cream was substituted with the healing cream tub. It worked within 48 hours. And it goes so far.

I'm using Numis med Urea 5% body lotion since october and i soooo in love with it. Absorbs quickly, pretty moisturizing, really helped with skin dryness and im not getting sweaty because of it (some body creams/lotions did this)

I goop it on damp skin like a luxury mask every night. I also use Cerave ointment or even beef tallow (great for protecting long hair too) for super dry days.

I got the Eucerin roughness relief lotion and it's an amazing overnight foot cream but awful anywhere else. I tried putting it on my legs at night and the next morning it was still tacky and felt terrible. Amazing looking ingredient list but never fully absorbed. Definitely great for keeping heels smooth though.

Thanks for the Neutrogena recommendation! I have suffered from keratosis follicularis on the backs of my arms since I was a child. Our GP continually told my mother I just wasn't drying my arms well enough after my bath. We lived in a high desert, very dry area. My mom used baby lotion on me because it was really all she had back in the day. I still have it occassionally so I will give your recommendation a try. We finally got snow in Iowa last week. This is when my son's eczema gets worse. I used to use prescription Betamethasone Dipropionate but Aveeno Baby Eczema Therapy Nighttime Moisturizing Balm with Colloidal Oatmeal & Ceramide saved my son's eczema. He's not a baby anymore. I used to use Cetaphil restoraderm skin restoring body moisturizer for around 3 years on the advice of my dermatologist and it really worked for me since I suffer from icthyiosis vulgaris. But last year, I noticed that it was not as effective as before.. Not sure if it was due any formula change.. Anyways I stopped using it as it's really expensive in India. Currently using a moisturizer called moisturex that contains 10% urea , lactic acid, propylene glycol and light liquid paraffin.

In upper western Virginia it has been snowing since 9 am and just turned to freezing rain & sleet!!! We have about 9 inches of snow so far and it is SO PRETTY! But very cold outside and we have a woodstove that my husband loves to heat up the place with -so definitely use lots of moisturizers and drink lots of H20. Of course I want a balm video since I haven't seen the first one - relatively new subscriber since the pandemic. Love all your suggestions and feel like I am definitely on the no fragrance, simpler is better bandwagon. Look forward to your vlogs of shopping and cooking (living vicariously these days! In my southern hemisphere its heating up, my DRTMLGY tint sunscreen arrived swiftly followed by Amazon and iHerb to get me through the next 6 months. The Aveeno Derexa Daily Emollient I do enjoy its not tacky in the heat and the balm sizes I use on rough patches and my heals. Super soft! One product I bought on iHerb instead of CeraVe Facial Moisturiser was CeraVe Baby Moisturising Lotion, cheaper. It has niacinamide, allantoine, arginine and a few more ceramides to. I use it on my face, neck shoulders and arms, it is lightened absorbs quickly. Then I grab whatever tub or Eucerin lotion for the legs. But I think I may keep the Baby lotion for its added benefits, have you tried?

Great and very informative video! I live in Denmark, where it’s really cold and windy. My skin is dry and sensitive and I would love to hear if you have any recommendations for face creams that really protect against this type of weather. I currently use the Cerave moisturizing cream, which I enjoy. But for some reason it tends to sting when I put it on and often leaves my skin with a cold/icy sensation afterwards. Yes, please, balms. It's ski season here (Tahoe area). Even though we have to wear masks on the lifts and in lines, some of my face is still exposed to sun, wind and ice. Can I put petrolatum over sunscreen to prevent windburn, or will it negate the SPF? All I can think of is the 80s baby oil tanning craze!

I have heard of using oil or petroleum jelly to remove physical sunscreens, but I'm not sure about chemical ones. Do you think the petroleum would remove it, or would the sunscreen maintain it's efficacy since it reacts with my skin vs. sitting on top?

Cerave has changed their formula :( I went to try a cerave moisturiser and they all had NEW formula or something like that on the tub. Looking up recent reviews, a lot of people are unhappy with the change. Would love your feedback on this issue :( Many people complained of active ingredients being moved way down the ingredient list :(
