SUCH AN GREAT IDEA! The yarn will keep the hair from permantly locking like it does with conventional locks Extensions giving longer lasting wear instead of a month if some one choose to remove them. great job.

Ive had yarn dreads for 9 months n still going wen the 12 month hit il take out my yarn n get my hair straight n so my hair went frm mid bk length to close to tail bone lenght

When I used Marley hair it was heavy and stiff..if I don't braid alllll the way to the end with Marley hair will it have more movement too? And your pictures look like your freds (fake dreads) were thick...have you done them thin b4? And can you curl these bad boys??? Lol sorry for all the Qs I have a photoshoot in a few days so I only have 1 shot to get this hair right. I have to choose either dreads or a wild head of natural curls...

it depends on how long you leave them in if longer than 6 weeks, your hair will probably start to lock

Why you don't braid the yarn and hair down to the end of your hair length , then start wrapping the yarn around the braid ?

You can, but it's going to take a lot longer and you're going to need a longer string because you're wrapping around a lot more
