I have watched a lot of parting system videos because I was really trying to see what the difference was between C/fan/crescent vs. diamond. Most videos describe them the same other than the shape. I'm very surprised you didn't mention the brick laying style of parting for thinner hair. It forces the loc to cover the scalp and as they grow out, they look thicker and beautiful

I've been waiting to get my locs started by a loc stylist but since I retwist my daughter and husbands I've learned how to keep up with them I just want someone to start mine for my parts but TODAY I think I'ma do my own based off one of these loc patterns to the best of my ability.

So great full for this video, I did grab and go did my locks myself, mum and hairstylist put pressure on me about the parts, mum then chopped all the locs off and I have to start again, I don’t wanna show a tun of scalp, makes it look like you have very thin hair and my hair is far from thin, I will look into the crescent style, best of both worlds should be a good compromise ✌🏾+ 💜

I'm currently 8 months in and that exact picture at 7:24 was stored in my phone way before I went to see my loctician. I really did my research because I knew leaving everything in the hands of the loctician could either go left or right. So yeah, I have crescent shaped parts because I think they're so unique and so far gives me wonderful scalp coverage. Very informative video!

I just started my loc journey a week and a half ago. When I started I knew nothing about parting systems, and just sat down and let the loctician do her thing. Welcome to the loc family! Because your so new to the Journey it’s definitely possible but it will require the redistribution of hair in between locs. That usually involves a pretty skillful hand.
