I know I’m late to this video, but I am so glad I discovered it. I have watched a lot of parting system videos because I was really trying to see what the difference was between C/fan/crescent vs. diamond. Most videos describe them the same other than the shape. I'm very surprised you didn't mention the brick laying style of parting for thinner hair. It forces the loc to cover the scalp and as they grow out, they look thicker and beautiful

Comb Coils with C-shape/Crescent posting is my favorite based on the natural parts with uniform locs. Your locs look great. Thank you for the videos highlighting the pros and cons of each parting method.

I’m two months into the locking process and I have the grid pattern. What you said about the scalpiness is so true. The loc lady did do something that kinda makes me fall between the parts but the sclap is still heavily seen.

So great full for this video, I did grab and go did my locks myself, mum and hairstylist put pressure on me about the parts, mum then chopped all the locs off and I have to start again, I don’t wanna show a tun of scalp, makes it look like you have very thin hair and my hair is far from thin, I will look into the crescent style, best of both worlds should be a good compromise ✌🏾+ 💜

I'm currently 8 months in and that exact picture at 7:24 was stored in my phone way before I went to see my loctician. I really did my research because I knew leaving everything in the hands of the loctician could either go left or right. So yeah, I have crescent shaped parts because I think they're so unique and so far gives me wonderful scalp coverage. Very informative video!
