I know I’m late to this video, but I am so glad I discovered it. I have watched a lot of parting system videos because I was really trying to see what the difference was between C/fan/crescent vs. diamond. Most videos describe them the same other than the shape. You made it very clear when it comes to styling what the difference is. Thank you! It’s going to be Crescent shaped locs for me!

Love your videos! I had long lock that were Grab and go style and loved them. I cut them all started over, and loss them to Chemo. I'm very surprised you didn't mention the brick laying style of parting for thinner hair. It forces the loc to cover the scalp and as they grow out, they look thicker and beautiful

So great full for this video, I did grab and go did my locks myself, mum and hairstylist put pressure on me about the parts, mum then chopped all the locs off and I have to start again, I don’t wanna show a tun of scalp, makes it look like you have very thin hair and my hair is far from thin, I will look into the crescent style, best of both worlds should be a good compromise ✌🏾+ 💜

I really do wish I went for the diamond style or even the crescent. I don't like dreads in front middle part of my hair cause it falls in front of my face when my hair is down and I have to keep pulling it back which is annoying. Maybe I might restart my locs 🤔. I'm already about 3 years in so idk

My loc journey starts 5/31/20 with a qualified loctitian, I'm anxious, but I'm also excited since I've never had them before. I'm currently 8 months in and that exact picture at 7:24 was stored in my phone way before I went to see my loctician. I really did my research because I knew leaving everything in the hands of the loctician could either go left or right. So yeah, I have crescent shaped parts because I think they're so unique and so far gives me wonderful scalp coverage. Very informative video!

Welcome to the loc family! Because your so new to the Journey it’s definitely possible but it will require the redistribution of hair in between locs. That usually involves a pretty skillful hand.
