@@annehyman7394 idk if you watched a2k, the contestants were asked things too but in a very wholsome way, they would ask who was their favorite contestant of the week and the girls would vote, then the top 5 is showed. This way, the members who didn't receive votes wouldn't be exposed. Also, I don't think asking who they think is going to be eliminated is necessary, it doesn't help to anything more than bringing tension between the girls

My elimination was very difficult, I almost died of my heart when it took so long for Samara, but relief came after she was saved, I was happy that the girls wanted her in the group and that she was placed in the TOP 2, it's sad to lose some girls that I liked, but now it's time to focus on Samara's debut

It will be a 6 member group. I can see all the people you mentioned here except Manon. The judges wanted her gone from the very first mission but they haven't got the occasion to get rid of her because she's always safe from elimination because many viewers are supporting her. They will get rid of her at one point or another, that's for sure.

manon and celeste to be are in a similar boat they are being saved by the fans. i think its similar to jyp yuna situation everyone wanted yuna to debut and i feel if jyp had a voting system she also would of been saved just by fan votes and i agree i need to see more like just put them all in a line have them all sing 2 different style songs so we can see range and have them dance two different style dances nothing fancy just simple that would pretty much give a lot of people clarity on who can actual sing who can dance better or who just a better performer and stage presence edit: i havnt seen the live fan greet and meet i just noticed so maybe there ill get my answer

…Karlee I understand why she didn’t make it…..she was another one fans couldn’t vibe with… but honestly both of her performances was ugh 😑. What ppl need to understand is having the most lines in a song puts you in the light more to be judged. Vocally I don’t feel Karlee did her best in mission one or two. Brooklyn I knew was going home. Mei surprised me I felt again in fearless team a, Mei and Lexie carried that performance they were the glue literally. Ilya I felt she wasn’t end it to win it. Emily great dancer …I don’t see her debuting … I like UA I voted for her but i see her in a kpop based group so that’s why I feel she won’t debut. I love love YOON❤ but she is kinda in that box for me to but her look, her aesthetic gives global but she’s very kpop standard. Like she’s between the two like I could see her in a group like new jeans. Lexie is a wildcard. I’m not sure. I’m telling you now they won’t have Megan and Daniella in a group together they give off the same energy so at the end it will be Daniella or Megan. Lara and nayoung will debut vocal chemistry and harmonies without them it’s a wrap. Samara will debut because she has a unique vocal kinda like Camilla in fifth harmony. If you hear her on a track you will know it’s their group. Manon is very popular and her visuals is very center material (side note I need more from her, love her but need a reason to fight beside visual put out so cover something ❤️ ) but she will also debut. Sophia is a ace she will debut period might even be the leader. Marq I also feel will not make it.

The 'You will not be receiving an invitation' was FOUL like that was just for the drama they could've just said who made it. It feels so dystopian. Interesting to see their more real-time reactions, as it seems they know the voting patterns of fans and therefore know who's more popular, it could've played a role in their voting for who they want in their teams, like Samara and Sophia were most wanted by the other contestants to be in their team, and are most voted by fans, so that could be influencing their decision to put them in their groups or vice versa. Another anomaly is Manon, since she's very popular with fans but seems to not be favored by the other contestants as she was 2nd highest for most likely to get eliminated. Idk if the judges like her since the only comment we got was how she wasn't showing up to practice but it seems like she was sick then and that was why. Also, all 4 eliminated contestants were also the 4 lowest voted trainees, so that's coincidental or the judges and fans are similar in mindset than they think or the fans influenced the judges' decisions.

I don't think Manon will be eliminated that easily. You could see she got the moves and vibes to be a member. And her voice is ideal for rapping. She has the strongest vocal for rapping among the candidates. Meanwhile I felt only 1 between Yoonchae and Nayoung will be chosen there. For sure there would be a korean member. Its up to them if they would prioritize candidate good in dancing or singing. - just my guess for sooner episodes

Manon is like a parasite that they can't get rid of. The judges have been wanting to get rid of her from the beginning, the others want her gone as well apparently but the viewers are on her side which is very interesting. If Manon is not safe from elimination, she's gone 100%.

Chaewon complimented her, and she just had a collaboration with Kai. It's only Manon's fans that are keeping her from being eliminated. If there's gonna be 6 members only pretty sure 3 of them are Asians or at least have mixed asian races like the members of vcha. I mean this is still hybe, they mostly prioritize Asians.

Manon is not my biased but I think is a strong candidate there. If they eliminate Manon, no one could deliver the strong vocals for rapping aside from her and she really projects her charisma and emotions impressively. She acts like a diva when performing. Meanwhile Celeste is the candidate type that could not easily noticed when she got mistakes or if her performance is not that strong at times, its because of her strong charisma and she has the rarest vocal tone and pitch. Not my favorite but still a strong candidate. Her charisma is too strong that elevates her stage presence power. What more if she did perfectly?

I know it’s a competition and I know these girls get put into teams for their performances but mentally it’s gotta be a lil tough. I mean to see the results of whether or not other girls will see you as a debut candidate and whether or not they think you’ll be eliminated during the round. It’s also weird to see a total 180 between the girls opinion and the public opinion, esp when it came to Manon. Now I’m not a lover of Manon, but I wonder always why they seem to doubt her and maybe it could be because she’s more introverted rather than Sophia whose always been a top candidate in both public and the girls eyes. Good luck to the girls with their next performance. And screw HYBE for formatting their show like this, because its bringing a lot of results and performances out of context. It’s beginning to look biased and sloppy.

Altho it seemed harsh to show the trainees how many their fellow trainees didn't voted for them to debut and voted for eliminations, I'm glad they did it anonymously to give us insight abt how they feel abt eachother. Not a single team survives in long run if the members don't feel comfortable and compatible around eachother. And I confess that it was a surprise to see Brooklyn and Mei being eliminated, between Mei and Marquese I personally thought Mei's performance was better, but I love Marquese but she was lackluster in Fearless' performance. Now I already imagined the elimination of Karlee and Iliya. Their voices are stunning, but Iliya didn't seem to fit into the concept, whereas Karlee fit in super well and did her best even though she was sick. I'm sad for the girls eliminated. The fan votes and the girl votes were very similar to the audience except for those that got exemptions. Karlee, Brooklyn, Iliya and Mei had the least amount of fan votes and they were also at bottom for the girls' votes. There were other girls that had very little girls' votes but their team was exempt so in a way, the elimination this time seems fair enough. With that said, I think this format breeds bad feelings between the girls. They can't help but take it personal.

I’m a dream academy supporter but this whole format is messed up. HYBE and GEFFEN should really wake up and smell the coffee. Do better is what I would say! As for Mei and Hanari, I feel they will debut in other groups perhaps HYBE Japan. This was a brutal way of eliminating the contestants. With that said, though it’s hard we all need to realise it’s a competition and they cannot debut an 18 member group so realistically, we will lose contestant we are fond of. These girls I must commend because you need to have nerves of steel for this kind of thing

(I wrote a very similar comment on another reaction video but I wanted to share my thoughts here too. I appreciate your commentary!) Karlee and Mei were my favorites out of everyone so I feel sad about this. In the end, I understand the eliminations except for Mei. I don't remember her feedback from the judges being that negative, but she had the lowest fan votes. It feels unfair that the most screen time she got was in her elimination video and now the comments are full of people who want to support her now when it's too late. This is the fundamental problem with the show. If they wanted to keep the content minimal to save everything for the Netflix docu then there shouldn't have been fan voting. They could've done what XG did. On the other hand, if they wanted to keep the "Olympics" concept and have fan voting then there should've been waaayyy more content. Another unfair aspect is that Mei mentioned having only been in the DA training program for 2 months. It seems that more girls could audition and join the program up until very recently, while other girls have been training for over a year. (Mei was only there for 2 months but she was that talented and got along that well with the team? Shouldn't that have also been considered?) But regardless, there would generally be a disadvantage if a contestant has been with the other girls for significantly less time. They would have less training, know everyone less, and would have less screen time. This decision to have auditions open all this time really doesn't make any sense to me. It just kind of feels like the judges/execs has a set few girls that they invested everything into, and some other girls are just seen as/being used as filler. On another note, the way that they do these eliminations is just downright traumatizing, and I feel so bad for all the girls. I realize that these types of survival shows are hard for the contestants no matter what, but it seems like whoever is coming up with the ideas for DA decided to take all the worst concepts and distill it into this one program. Did they get their ideas from a manual on psychological torture? No, apparently they got their inspo from the Olympics. But I must say, I don't remember watching the Olympics and feeling the need to vomit.

I'm happy that samara Danielle nayoung sophia lara and ezrela safe they're my favorites . Lara is not given that good performance in mission 2 but i can't ignore her voice so i rooting for her . Yoonchae is good but it's feels like bcz she korean so in kpop songs she shines i want to see her in other songs to see that if she shine in that too Emily's dance and Celesta singing individually is really amazing but in grp i can't feel vibe from them Manon i really loved her but her dancing moves and singing both need improvement but definitely she has good aura and personality so i want to see her improvement All girls are talented hope for the bestt ❤

I'd like to see Yoonchae in the group now that Mei is gone. Your point with Emily and Celeste - I agree. Although I see Celeste more than Emily... Manon - difficult. If we get a six member group or a five member group then I am pretty sure there will be the visual choice (the judges have some kind of concept) between either Manon or Samara and then they will choose either Lara or Ezrela .... To have the group be "global" there can only be 2 members with darker skin at the most. They need more than half not to be too american looking.

Some girls are considered backed by their Country, but come on, how can we put this argument on Switzerland! I was sad for Karlee, but even though she improved a lot from the 1st mission to the 2nd mission, still her level of performance was not making her at the same level as the other remaining competitors. I know it's a sad and hard thing to do but unfortunately that's what happened 😢 I hope many doors can open for her now that everyone knows who she is and that she has potential ❤

I think Karlee had a lot mre potential than sme of the other girls on the team. There's 2 particular girls I think that are there mainly by popularity and I would be really disappointed if they make it...I'm seeing the voting mainly due to popularity votes so I hate to say this but I really hope that HYBE will have the main voting for the final girls because I feel they will be unbiased in the end. That's what I am hoping for bc I don't trust all of the publics' vote now.

There's really no reason why manon should've that much vote ( if not for existing prejudice) considering this is a fan voted mission and she's one of the most popular contestant. When I was watching this episode(the elimination round), I couldn't help telling myself that this is soooo cruel, like this is not a girl group show, but a Hunger Game or Squid Game. Actually, the game rule is not that bad and seems like a normal contest, but the result announcement part it shows is like a slap in the face.

i like how it was multiple things for the elimination brooklyn and ua got no votes from contestants to form there ideal group lilya got 1 mei got 2 and karlee 3 . yes ua didnt get eliminated but she was the next one up after these 4 the contestants assumed who would get eliminated and lilya and brooklyn were voted bottom 4 from contestants both team B had the contestants that were in the bottom of the other contestants list or in the teams that fans didnt vote for and sadly these 4 being in the bottom of every list/Rank specially brooklyn and lilya it was a all round lose lose for them from the fans and other contestants

I feel like the final lineup will consist of the following: Nayoung - EA - Kor Sophia - SEA Samara - Latin America Daniella or Emily - USA Ezrela - SA Ua - EA - Jpn With this line up, each region gets to have 1 representative except for EA. I don't know I just feel like Ua will get in just to cater to the Japanese fans. Also, as much as I love Marquise, I think Hybe won't let two SE asian in the group and between Sophia and Marquise, Sophia has more chance to debut as she's already very popular and she's also good. As for the representative from the US, I am still conflated about this. But I feel like Daniela has more chance to debut than Emily. Sure Emily has the stereotypical white american features but talent wise, Daniela has a lot to offer, not to mention, she is also white passing. So if I were to choose, I would pick her over Emily but who knows, Emily might just get in. As for the South Asian representative, I just feel like Ezrela has more chance to debut than Lara. I don't know but I don't see any visual chemistry between Lara and the other girls. Lara's very pretty, don't get me wrong. But Ezrela just has softer features that complement with the other girls and she's also very charming. She also has good singing and dancing skills. Another thing is, if Hybe will push through with Ua, having Ezrela in the group is a must as she can speak Japanese too. Ua will have a hard time communicating with the other girls without Ezrela. Lastly, as for Samara and Nayoung, I just feel like their debut is already secured at this point. Both are just very good vocalists and their dancing skills are also pretty decent.

UA is not my biased but if they removed UA there, I don't think that their dance line would be that powerful. Because the others are good but soft dancers. Only UA delivers the most powerful moves/strongest impact among the dancers. Its very difficult to choose but it is sure it would be only 5 or 6 members. 7 members and up are difficult to market globally specially in western audience. So their visual icon might be Lexie or Daniela. I don't know for asian visual who would be. Iam betting Lara would be their main vocalist - just predictions, Samara is my biased there but maybe she is fitting as Center or Lead Vocalist.

This is brutal but, hey, it’s 6/20 and they know it. We know it. Each elimination is gonna get harder and harder for the fan base. They want the best but not quiet since it’s a global group. There will never be like 6 from the USA, or all white/kind of white. They will be ethnically and nationality wise diverse. I think the group will be (not my favs. Necessarily But what I think HYBE will choose): Sophia, Ezrela, Daniela, Manon, Yoonchae and Samara.

what irks me the most is how some people act like filipinos are only voting for sophia just because she’s filipina. she passed auditions and joined the final competition so seeing her skills being downplayed is so disheartening. plus it’s not just filipinos voting for their own countrymen. others are doing it too and it’s fine given that the DA is giving us nothing but videos every now and then. anyway, i’m quite sad to only really look at Mei through this vid. her personality is such a gem. 😢

I have a several comments. 1) The question they asked the girls - who should be on the final team? I don't understand where they are going with that. And then they show the results as to how many contestants voted for each other.' That was totally useless and cruel. I really don't see the point. 2) And why do they even bother to show how many fans voted for whom? I say this because fans had no chance of seeing their personalities. We only saw bit and pieces of them. We were completely "disconnected." I think, as you say Pierre, they wanted to show everything in the Netflix, but by then, does it really matter? Now I know Brooklyn is out and I would not necessarily want to see the journey she has taken so far and got let go. It doesn't make too much sense to me. 3) As for the 14 remaining, I do have some reservation. First of all, the two winning teams from mission 2 all made it. I have problems with that. I think that was very unfair to other teams. For instance, Megan was almost eliminated because she was on the losing team. I think it was BS! By the same token there are couple of girls on the winning teams that I think should've been dropped. 4) I want to go back to Brooklyn. I know there was some comments about her unstable vocal at the end, I do not think she should've been dropped. We are picking someone with potential, not someone who is ready NOW! Contrary to your opinion about Karlee, my personal view is that Karlee doesn't fit Kpop standards. 5) I do not understand why Marquise all of sudden is very negative. I don't know what happened, but for me she is average at best and not extraordinary like Megan or Daniela. positivity It just comes with territory! 6) It sounds like the final number is 6. But why can't there be two teams? At any rate, the whole thing seems bit off. Wish al the girls luck!

Yea, your points are all valid. As for Karlee - I think she has potential. She was sick before Mission 2 we saw that in the prep vlog. I feel like that was not taken into consideration because they talked about her being out of breath during her performance. I didn't see her in the group, but its just the way it was shown that they don't care.... I might make another "Let's talk" video on what I think about it at this state now. Maybe even give my thoughts on who I would like to see in the group. But that is a slippery slope and the comment section might just burn hellfire after that... haha

Competition is a competition. Theyre all lucky they were accomodated as 20 people in the show. They couldve handpicked from the start the girls but hybe give them a chance. So its make it or break it. If u just slip just a small step then ur out. Everyone is given a chance to prove themselves. So don’t say bad things to the mgt. The industry is pretty competitive and this is their training ground if the girl trainee is fragile and weak then how about when they are out in the industry. Kpop is not for the weak willed its mental and physical.
