JP has ridden a few bikes in his time, but as we know he's had a few blunders when he's tried building one up from scratch! In this video he shows the process of fitting his components, including a SRAM Red eTAP AXS groupset and ZIPP 303 wheels, to his new Pinarello Grevil gravel bike (carefully attempting to not break it)!

I'm building my dream bike at the moment. 1977 Peugeot PX10 L ( the year Jacque Esclassan won the green jersey and the year I started work as a poor youth ) Hardly used. Been in a guys spare room. Full 531. Immaculate Stronglight French thread chainset. Lyotard quills. Immaculate Mafac Racer brakeset. Simplex Delrin gearset had gone a naff finish, so a New Old Stock Simplex LJ gearset was sent from a Belgium shop. Mavic Championnat du Monde Pro sprint rims on Maillard 700 hubs. New Conti Giro tubs to be safe. Cinelli Unicanitor seat, also immaculate. No scratches ! Roll on l'Eroica 2021 LOL. PS. I've also got a Spesh S-Works.

Can we just admit that JP is champ.? I'm guessing that GCN's team is largely in UK, and due to the lock down, JP is working on GCN material in USA by himself. So he basically has been filming everything (largely by himself) and sending large quanities of video files to UK's team to edit, then refilming the parts they want. So he's not just a presenter and a cyclist but the film team too during this lockdown. What a champ, what a beast!

Ever since I saw Jeremy's first Grevil I thought it was absolutely the most beautiful bike I've ever seen and normally I'd never consider any bike as "beautiful." It's aero with great style and as much as the versatility makes it practical that makes it a hell of a lot more fun to own too! To bad I can't see affording one anytime soon. Jeremy, if you'd like to free up some space in your house I'll take the old one!

I’ve had one for about 18 months - 18k km so far Generally great for day rides or multi day where you have support - used it for a seven day gravel race in SA and it was perfect. Some smal. challenges for me are; assymmetric rear makes putting a mudguard on tricky (UK=rain): has wide range of bolts so need more than the simplest multi-tool: road ultegra stages power meter doesn’t fit (hoped I’d be able to swap over from my road bike): 3 sets of bottle cage mounts so pretty limited for bike packing purposes (I know - it’s not aimed at that, but FYI): fulcrum wheels problematic (buckled): thru axle design doesn’t work very easily - bit of faff to get wheels tightened and levers in a good place.

To help this big ol' body on the type of trails J-Pow is riding, I would go up to 36t in the cassette. I agree on the 2x range up front, so you don't spin out on the road. I am also located in Massachusetts and have to bridge trails by road riding and, therefore, want the full speed range. Jeremy didn't mention the rotor size he is running, but I go 160 front and back on my discs. 88kg and some steep descents at speed need that little bit extra out back.
