A nineties MTB frame and forks with 29ers or 650B wheels and tyres and a new spray job with the right parts make for a great general purpose gravel bike... Super impressed with microshift stuff for the money.....👍

Hello there Conmen Bike, I have watched your video and I love what you have done. I have a question: I have the same fork that you used, SR SUNTOUR SWING SHOCK but I wonder why it wiggles especially when I apply the brakes especially when I downhill, what could be the problems with my fork? Thank you and more power to your channel.

After about 3 years the last Keurig stopped working kzbin.infoUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf initially was able to unblock, however eventually we couldn't fix. That one was a replacement unit sent by the manufacturer after we had problems with our very first Keurig. This works fine (lol, at least for now) however I didn't realize the water reservoir was so much smaller than our prior unit. With 2 people having one or two cups of coffee each morning, it seems like I'm refilling it daily. Otherwise just happy to have the convenience of pod coffee vs. making a morning pot.

I was expecting to see a quill stem on an "old" mtb frame, lol. That's not old. Mine is from before threadless and disc brakes came into common use. Anyways, nice video and I've been tempted to upgrade mine from 26" to 27.5" or other size that will fit as well. Give the old girl a second life. But first, I'll have to turn her into a hard tail. And a sexy new paintjob. ;-) My dream would be to turn it into a touring bike which is a similar style to gravel I reckon.

What kind of wheel axles are you using ? Thanks!
@conmenbike84764 жыл бұрын

@groovy_bear4 жыл бұрын
@@conmenbike8476 Alright thanks ! Were these standard on those wheels or did you have to change the cones of the bearings to accommodate for that ? I'm asking because I've only found QR axles or 12/15mm thru axles when looking for wheel specifications only. Never came across 9mm or 10mm ... but perhaps it did not look hard enough ?
@conmenbike84764 жыл бұрын
@Groovy Bear These wheels are built on NOVATEC D791sb, D792sb hubs. These hubs have the ability to quickly replace the axle depending on the need. Options front - qr, 9mm, 15mm. rear - qr, 10x135mm, 12x135mm, 12x142mm. Replacing an axle with a cassette installed takes probably less than a minute. My most favorite hubs are really recommendable

What size/frame Specs do i have to look at if i want it to Work? Same reach as my Gravelbike? What Else?
@conmenbike84764 жыл бұрын
The frame must be able to mount a disc brake so that you can use wheels of different sizes. Important is the length of the top tube must be shorter, suggest the size of the road frame for your size. When it comes to steering wheels, it is better to use aero carbon to better dampen vibrations. Mechanical disc brakes I would now wear a TRP Spyre. The crank must of course be from mtb. Good luck with your gravel building
@Matricule-ru9kl4 жыл бұрын
From an old MTB you got the geometry problem, what about changed from a flat bar to a road bar?
@conmenbike84764 жыл бұрын
With such conversions, the problem is the size of the frame, the frame should be smaller. I changed the steering wheel with corrected length of the stem. I changed 140mm to 75mm. The geometry is fine, the ride is very stable
