Thank you! Both are great bikes. The MMMBOP is a bit slacker and more descent focused. It would be more playful being a 27.5. Also, it might be a better fit at your height but that is a matter of personal preference and skillset. The Big AL is more of an all round design. It will climb and descend well but will be less nimble. The 29in wheels will roll over obstacles better.

This looks like an amazing build! I have heard and seen so many great things about this bike, but I can't find a complete build in the states so I may have to buy the frame and build it up. I am 5'11 and I have been riding on an old 2002 Ellsworth truth haha but I want to get on modern geo without breaking the bank. @AdrenalineIsLife2 жыл бұрын
You'll definitely need a 160mm/180mm adapter to fit the larger rotor. They are pretty inexpensive. Glad you enjoyed the video. Take your time with the build. Measure twice cut once and google if your not sure about something. Nothing better than riding a bike you built yourself.

@AdrenalineIsLife3 жыл бұрын
I did test it out. It's a size too big for me but it was surprisingly nimble considering. The 29er is slow to get rolling compared to 27.5 but it ate up the trail once it got rolling. It's basically a 29er Marley. I haven't tried a mullet setup yet. I might try one down the road.

I don't have the specs readily available. Different brands have different torque specs for their parts. If you are using the same parts as the build in the video. The torque specs should be printed on the parts. Derailleur should be 10-12nm, rear axle 9-11nm. The seat post clamp is usually 4-6nm.
