Mr. Milner, I'm about to build my first bike and these videos have been a great resource. I have a question about hydraulic brakes. After you cut open the brake lines to run them through the frame, you only pull the air out from the lever brake valve. Did you also run some fluid from the bottom and just not show it on video, or for very small amounts of air is a top-only bleed adequate? Thanks for any help you could give me, Benedict

Really really good mechanic, nice details and practices, using the torque wrench, titanium bolts, foam for the internally routed cables, well done, this is how a good bike is built. I’d love to see this mechanic more often in the channel.

Jonas Boone I use to buy them in Aliexpress, I recommend to people “RISK” brand (use the search) or “Wanyifa” shop. I have never had any problem with those, RISK has better details (has the brand in the bolt and the Torque spec in some bolts) but is more expensive, so i only buy those for the bleed ports and brake pad retaining bolts, everything else from Wanyifa, it’s cheaper and has any type and length bolts, even Torx for disk rotors and bottle cage bolts.

Nice, I had a 2016 Raven Max SL XTR double with DT XRC 1200 wheels, MCFK handlebars, etc. Sold it about a year ago, cant get Focus in the US now, that frame was LIGHT and STIFF, very impressive bike.

NICE, i had a 2016 Raven max SL, 880 gram frame, XTR double in 2016, DT XRC 1200 wheels, Gobi M-1 saddle, MCFK carbon bars from Germany, Race King 2.2, EXPEDO 150 gram Titanium pedals, that bike was AWESOME!!!1 Only 20.4 pounds with pedals and tune 9 gram cage, that bike FLEW and also very stiff not a noddle like some of the super light frames, FOCUS no longer available in the US, great brand unfortunately I would have DT XRC 1200 or those ultra beautiful and expensive BIKE AHEAD wheels with Race King 2.2 to keep the weight down, i am not a fan of those new sidewalls, i think they're UGLY but owners choice, TUNE makes some nice bottle cages also, check out MCFK carbon products, VERY light and stiff as well, highest quality German parts on a bike like that
