Ive never understood why people add sealant thru the tire valve when mounting up new tires....adding it before you pop the last bead on is cleaner and keep the tire valve/stem clear of sealant.

They are prototype rotors made by us - we also make the hubs which work in a completely different way. The idea that holes mean more surface area is a bit of a marketing scam from the bike industry. These rotors actually have much more surface area used for cooling than most discs on the market, as well as much more capacity for thermal energy

I have Hope brakes on my bike and love how the operate and work...These look sort of like a prototype...those discs certainly have to be...they need some lightning holes as they also help clean the pads...

An *almost* completely Hope spec, just the hubs let it down ;-) The spec on my DJ bike is almost entirely Hope (headset, stem, BB, cranks, hubs) except, ironically, the brake which is Shimano.

The leading edge of the pads seems to clear them pretty well, they are prototypes made by us (KOM). They out-perform in other areas so overall I've been loving them!
