You can build a modern house too. Make sure to build a small house, no bigger than you need, don't make the mistake Mayugunu made of building a half-finished palace. I asked the same question, but I realized it's the norm in Africa. The amount of cash it took to purchase stones for the foundation. They could have bought cement, cinderblocks, and steel. And they wouldn't have to dig so deep to cast the foundation. Just start the building on a concrete matting straight out of foundation like they do in Jamaica.

That phone is called Luxus, one of the lowest unknown brands in Kenya going for less than $50, and the specifications are not good at all. 1GB Ram and a 2MP camera are just not sufficient for shooting videos. The phone is one of the worst here in Kenya.
