Sometimes the music makes me cry. Tonight is one of those times. After 54 years Mom misses Pop greatly. As do I. The best Dad that didn't have to be.

Ho vissuto i miei anni ascoltando e suonando il Jazz e tutto ciò che fosse musica ma, l'ascolto di certi "mostri sacri" e di brani come quelli contenuti in questa raccolta sono cibo per la mente e per l'anima ... Non ho vissuto come molti di voi certi momenti e certi personaggi, come Harry James o Ray Anthony, li ho solo ascoltati ma, forse per colpa dello strumento, li ho amati da subito ....... Spero che Dio mi dia la possibilità almeno una volta di farmeli ascoltare dal vivo quando non ci sarò più!!!!!!

In 1966, our B-52 crew got to see Ray Anthony in the O Club at Guam, shortly after returning from one of our 12hr missions to Vietnam. I believe that Joe Williams was traveling with their USO show on that occasion. Got to meet Joe during one of the band intermissions. Always remembered what a genuinely wonderful guy he was, and his rendition of "Every Night I've Got the Blues" was and still is one of his all time bests.

Que buena música, me recuerda los años 1944, 1945 cuando en tiempos de mi niñez junto a mi abuelo escuchábamos en la radio, en onda corta a Glenn MILLER, BENNY GOODMAN y otros grandes músicos. Eran tiempos en que Miller con sus músicos entregaba alegría a quienes combatían en la segunda guerra mundial. Ahora la música que interpreta Harry James trae estos recuerdos de buenos compases que en algunos momentos baile con mi esposa, con la admiración de mis hijos y nietos. Hoy a mis 82 años esta buena música nos distrae, nos da alegría y hermosos recuerdos, la seguiré disfrutando en compañía de mi esposa.
