Crazy to me how many peoples first KH game was DDD. I still think of it as a newer entry in the franchise when it’s over 10 years old now. It’s as old as KH1 was when it came out now which is wild.

Well it’s canonically the first one out of the console games so it seems best to play that one first for newcomers if they just wanna come in and start the story from the beginning.

Honestly my only point against the remakes is that they couldnt implement the cool multiplayer content that made each portable game unique. Days was totally lost, BBS lost Mirage Arena multiplayer, and DDD lost link portals. Unfortunately I was the only KH fan in my friend group, so I didnt get much use out of the multiplayer anyways, but it still is quite a shame. Even Melody of Memory is dead (at least on PC). P.s. if we're bringing streetpass back, we need more white shirts, I'm totally walled on the dark room in Find Mii

Objectively, no. There's no reason to prefer the 3DS version. This game is much better on the Steam Deck.

Dream Drop Distance was the first KH game I ever played! I played the demo from the eShop for hoooooours. I was also horrible at it and didn't understand what I was doing ngl. Later played it fully on PS4 and really enjoyed it, more than a lot of other KH games tbh. Maybe I should finally return to the 3DS version based on what you're saying here!!

Ay!! The 3DS man himself! Yeah I can relate a lot to the playing the Demo for hours, I went out of my way to download it before the eShop closed for nostalgia reasons and man I can already see myself sinking a lot of hours into this game again The PS4 version definitely holds up in terms of how good it looks and how smooth the combat is but a lot of the features being cut from the 3ds version is what lead me to this opinion Thanks for watching bo!

This is definitely one of the KH related things I want the most considering I love the game on PS4, I can say I knew about the portals and flick rush being online, but I definitely didn't know about the AR cards for this game, pretty much the only reason I remember they existed is because of a Nitro Rad video talking about the Fatal Frame spinoff called Spirit Camera which uses the AR feature to make a whole game out of it, (I'll probably put the link to the video in the reply's) this game with the AR cards is definitely going to be one of my holy grails.

There was a time where I wanted it on the 3DS…..but it took so long for me to get that device that 2.8 came along and yeah🤷‍♀️ I remember distinctly being JEALOUS when I saw the gameplay by that 456 guy😂 (I can’t remember the full channel name 😅but he had a Mii character for a logo)

kingdom hearts 3d is my favorite game in the franchise (feel free to judge) and the being in the 3ds really completes the game for me, the only thing i would've liked was if we had the hd dream eaters and more dream eaters inspired by TWEWY. also i turned on my 3ds for the 1st time in a long time just for the giveaway and i completely forgot just how much effort i put into this game, 90h save file 100% completed and for the #giveaway i had a chef kyroo named dinner (cuz you know frog legs)

2.8 was relased 2 months before the Switch as a Wii U owner it was a dark time. The only 2 games left that weren't Just Dance was Breath of the Wild and Darksiders Remastered. Props to THQ for keeping their promise of bringing the first game to Wii U after Darksiders 2 was a launch title...they literally upheld it by being the last non Just Dance game released physically on the console...

I love this game and prefer the 3DS version I love how it makes use of the 3DS system features (that said I also prefer the GBA version of CoM so idk maybe one weird lol)

3ds favorite system of all time. I thankfully do own both, but the 3ds has a unique Disney collectible pin. Of sora and mickey. I played 3ds one nonstop. I went to play the ps4 edition for the first time, or so I thought. Only to find I had beat it already with no memory of doing so. So idk if that's on me or just idk it didn't stand out or as much.

The 3DS had so many features that weren't ported and people don't talk about! I think I have like 500 hours of gameplay on the original 3DS version of this game. My favorite KH game in terms of nostalgia :)

Imagined if 2.8 was on the Switch? 🤔 I mean to it’s defense, they had to make compromises somehow to make the game functional for consoles so that’s why I give the changes a pass in that retrospect as someone who grew up playing the 3DS original too. It was a what else could they have done type of thing. It’s a nice accessible alternative for people who never played it on 3DS or aren’t as into portable gaming. 🤷‍♂️ At least all the features from the game are still intact so it’s not like anyone will miss out that much. And there’s even additional Dream Eaters for the port!

I’m glad the street pass is still alive. I use to have it on all the time at conventions. Haven’t been to one in years though. Also I might still have those cards in their plastic bag. Pretty sure I never used them.

I played on Xbox one X 80+ hours and then 3DS with like 46 hours and I loved it all even though it was 30fps with drops on Crazy stuff I did on purpose lol and 240p vs 4K but it’s great.
