I have a 6400sqft house for 2 people and it doesn't feel too big. In face, I wish we went to 7200. Make your laundry room bigger than you think. Insulate the walls for sound proofing. Build in washer dryer pedestals. Put open shelves above washer dryer. Put hanging rods on opposite wall to dry clothes. Put a mudroom in with sink and dog shower Pot filler is a must. Put insulation in island around dishwasher. If you have the space, put in 2nd laundry room and a butler kitchen with additional sink, dishwasher, oven Have pantry next to garage wall with access door to unload groceries quickly. Have built in spot in garage for standup freezer with walls insulated Have a dedicated spot for Xmas tree to store assembled. Put in electrical welhere Xmas lights will hang outside Put a hose bib on all exterior sides Don't put water heater in attic

5:00, there is a surgeon doing the op tail end and an anaesthetic team head end monitoring how well your anaesthesia is going... if you wake up and can't move and are potentially feeling pain there are physiological responses including increased heart rate and blood pressure - your anaesthetic team should notice this and it will prompt them to act/top up your meds. Furthermore, the medications given at the beginning cause anterograde amnesia - meaning you won't be able to form memories, so you wont remember if you woke up. There are a few high profile, rare, cases where all of this failed and people have woken up, doctors haven't realised and they remembered everything - incredibly, incredibly rare though.

Question for joe and his dad: shopping for my first home and considering a minor kitchen remodel on a budget. When it comes to houses with older cabinets (homes built in the 70’s and 80’s and haven’t been updated since then) do I 1. bite the bullet and spend the money to do a full remodel? 2. Reface the cabinets with new drawer and cabinet face boards? 3. Or do I just repaint the existing cabinets?

Joe, emissions testing is still required for Harris and most of Houston counties. Only the safety inspection goes away. So if you’re cat-less you’ll still need to get it emissions tested. Just wanted to shared, that cat-less isn’t totally acceptable…yet lol
