Despite being 'colonized' by Spain or whatever country for several years, that doesn't mean present day Filipinos all have Spanish ancestry. Those colonizers were a minority (and they remain to be) here, they didn't mingle with the locals to that extent (not unless you're rich) that's how racist they were to our ancestors. You'd find more Filipinos coming from Chinese ancestry than that. If anything, we look more and relate more with our brown Asian neighbors (South and South East). The Dream chasers who look mix might be from the Filipino diaspora, nothing to do with colonization :)

Um, do you really need a foreign company to introduce Filipino talents? You speak as if Filipino artists don't exist outside the country. You can promote your own by supporting them at home first. kpop didn't become well known because foreigners introduced it. South Koreans and the government promote their culture everywhere. Heck, even kimchi is known as Korean but ube? Nope. Nobody knows unless someone tells them it's distinctively Pinoy. Even Vietnam is stealing calamansi because pinoys don't promote and label things as their own. Shame comes first. Unlike South Koreans, pinoys seem to enjoy bashing their own at every chance they get then when a person or group becomes well known the "I'm proud to be Pinoy" $hit comes out. SB19 is an example of that bashing. That toxic mentality really needs to go.
