Agreed. There is some other evidence too, though. 1: Dream stated that he was on the side of chaos. Techno is an advocate for absolute anarchy. Their views line up. 2: Techno's secret base under his regular base that even his chat hasn't seen much of. What could he be doing in there? 3: What you said. Techno needs somebody to stab. My guess is that Dream, Techno, and maybe awesam and BBH (because of the whole cat murder thing) will be against most everyone else, and Wilbur will be on the sidelines ready to blow shit up.

Fundy actually bought up a good point about this, he said the reason so many people pursue a heroic storyline is because if they show any sign of dissent towards the perceived protagonists (Tommy, Wilbur, Tubbo etc.) then their fans start going rabid and attack the other CC in their chat. This was most evident with Eret's betrayal of L'manburg, even though Eret switching sides was one of the most game changing moments for the plot he still caught a lot of hate for it. The only people who've been able to avoid this reaction are Dream & Schlatt, because they never stream anything they do on the SMP. People just need to get over themselves and recognize these guys are all friends having harmless fun for our entertainment.

Schlatt's definitely got quite a bit of hate regardless of him not streaming. It really sucks that some people ruin the fun with their anger, and some of them are just little kids who don't realize it's all a game.

@@josephtheoracle3344 *prepared But just because he can defend himself and can kill people doesn’t mean he has the strength to protect others He couldn’t protect Ranboo after all At the Red Festival even if techno knew from the start how OP the crossbow actually was(which he didn’t, otherwise he wouldn’t have used it for what was originally meant to be a dark angsty roleplay moment) that doesn’t change the fact that while he could have defended himself against those people he couldn’t magically un-trap the completely unarmed and defenseless Tubbo single-handedly while simultaneously killing half the server. Tubbo was a dead man from the moment he was put in that box, and without backup either coming in for support or creating a distraction(which they didn’t bcuz Wilbur wanted Tubbo dead just as much as Shlatt did) there was physically no way for Tubbo to escape that box with his life

I love how Techno meta’d the entire plot (English major time) but everyone on the server caught on and decided to twist it to be more interesting. Dream is now on Schlatt’s side, and there’s a traitor in Pogtopia. I must commend them, that whole Dream thing is one of the smartest routes they could go to make this more interesting. Aside from that, this animatic is great. You just really portrayed and eventuated Techno’s whole mood.

This is why I love Techno's character. For the people he is allies with and/or cares about, he would fight the world for them, even though sometimes he can come off as cold and distant, he has a heart and is willing to give everything to protect whoever he cares about. This is exactly what we see in Techno and Phil's relationship, that when they went to blow lmanburg up, Techno gave Phil a totem of undying, but only after insisting that Phil stay behind so that he would be safe. He entrusted him with so many withers, and also considers him as the only thing he has left in the world, after Tommy betrayed him, and now hits even harder when Tommy was one of the people Techno would've fought everything for, and he gave him gear, protection from Dream , shelter, and everything in between, and when he was ready to fight a 1v20 for Tommy, the child betrayed him and went back to the guy that exiled him, and chose l'manburg over himself. Techno sees who he fought to protect siding with those who tried to execute him, AKA Tubbo in the Butcher Army. The Blade may say: 'Tis but a scratch, but it still hurt him. Awesome character development :)

Like you said, Techno will not display affliction to the people he cares about, but he is willing to fight life and death for them, was willing to give it all for _Tommy._ Which makes c!Tommy’s betrayal all the more painful. He's planting uncertainty in Pogtopia for them to turn on eachother so he can end them easily. Hes almost the opposite to Techno, if he wants blood he goes for it without hesitation. Dream is more patient and calculative and they both are very charismatic

In Wilbur's chat when someone being a traitor was mentioned, everyone guessed it was Tubbo. Which, I don't blame them. Tubbo is a pretty good actor according to how he plays Among Us. I could be completely wrong, but one of my guesses would have to be Tubbo. One of my other guesses is Tommy. Techno has never sided with Pogtopia. He and Dream just wanted chaos. (which I don't blame them. I would totally do that too.) Tommy and Tubbo are my two guesses. Part of my mind also wants to say Niki, but I don't think its her.

Ok I might be biased but techno seems like the best character in dream smp. To clarify: dream is a bit weird don't even try to deny it, Tommy was decent but in the end he was to chaotic and his motivation was 2 music disks. But techno was consistent, loyal and determined.
