I recently re-watched this movie after this video popped up on my recommended a few days ago. When I first saw the movie, I didnt think it was that great and it felt like it fell flat. After re-watching this movie I have completely changed my opinion of it. for starters, this is hands down the best into ive heard/seen for any movie. its absolutely outstanding and Dennis Hopper is amazing. the problem was that this movie was pitched as an "action" movie. when in fact its nothing close to that. its actually a very well thought out neo noir crime drama. It begins and ends in basically the same location with the same beautiful song playing. If one single song has ever made a movie better, this is it. The acting is very good IMO. maybe Snipes was a little weak but ole Dennis Hopper and everyone else made up for that. Morale of the story is, this is one of my favorite movies of all time now. I'm telling all my friends about it and getting people to watch it with me. Maybe one day the greatness of this movie will finally be recognized and it will start getting the attention it deserves.

I actually was watching the movie on DVD one night many years ago, and the intro kept playing on a loop before i pressed play, so that's where I first heard it. I looked it up, couldn't find it anywhere. So I ripped the audio and uploaded it. I've also found a way to play this on guitar....

Yes, I also love this song very much, it is an absolute MASTERPIECE of these beautiful past years specific to American musical history, to the dynamism of new musical movements and to great artists such as GLENN MILLER. The version of this song that I prefer is that of the credits of this movie "THE BOILING POINT", it has a fabulous resonance (the voices are fabulous) and a taste of eternity which sticks to the night atmosphere of the city, to the long tracking shots above magnificent buildings in their luminous liveries (some renowned), we are in a dream dimension throughout the song and we descend to the ground when the song ends at the same time as the camera brings us back to the ground, slowly but inexorably with the footsteps of the protagonists of the movie (GREAT and TALENTED Dennis HOPPER, he is (RIP) one of my favourite ACTORS ) and that MAGIC disappears to make way for the harsh reality, that of Life (which is not a dream or a fairy tale) and that of the history of the movie ( which ends very badly).
