I love how all the little imperfections come out on the isolated tracks. The buzzing amp on the Hammond, the occasional fudged note that disappears in the mix...

I absolutely love Derek's sounds on this song. Especially those organs and that effect on the piano. Amazing stuff!

Kevin had a great sense of sound. He never had a tone that sounded bad and knew when to stand back. Jordan is a god when it comes to musicality, but he always seems to pick goofy sounds that pop out from the soundscape.

@@Muglinnor yes I noticed that. And great work! This is the best keyboard track I found. How did you reconstruct the tracks, or my question, where did you get this sheet music? I have been looking everywhere and I could only find scores full of mistakes so I started rewriting almost everything by ear. The old era DT keyboard sound, meant to create a beautiful atmosphere, now replaced by JR circus shit. Has there been a part like 17:43 or 14:19 for the last 20 years?

I agreee. JR sounds so over the top, especially with the solos. His lead playing is cringey and lifeless...
@antoninuslarpus710710 ай бұрын
I know this is a rhetorical question but BC&SL definitely was a callback to this era of DT keys. I don't think there's a single cheesy momment which might explain why it's my favourite DT album behind SFAM and I&W

When it comes to technique, JR is unbeatable. However, in terms of sounds and composition, he is the worst compared to Sherinian and Moore.

The Trinity is awesome. Bought a preset for his "killer lead" sound and it sounds spot on compared with the isolated tracks I compared it to. But you could also go for the TR-Rack if you don't want to worry about replacing the internal battery and save some space.
